The glasses struggle is REAL. I had a pair last year of high school to after college, and I never wore them bc I zoned out during the eye exam was was super sure I might ruin my eyes with a bad prescription (ah, anxiety). It's fine, I squinted my way through college mostly refusing to wear them, but lucky for me for years my prescription didn't change too badly and I made it glasses free until one day like 3 years ago (almost a full decade later LMAO) I realized I couldn't even read signs in the grocery store now and FINALLY gave in. I got a pair from Sams I ADORE, they're purple with quilted pattern. Last year I got a new pair, a really expensive Coach pair, and I hate them. They slide off my face and I never could adjust to the prescription (this time I kinda screwed up when the guy asked me to read at the end and I read the blurs that probably weren't supposed to be blurs as fast as I could cause he made it sound like a challenge so I'm super sure something went hinky). If it hadn't been for the Sams pair that still work, I don't know where I'd be especially since 95% of the migraines that visit me are ocularly triggered. So I feel this struggle on all levels, and YES, it's TREMENDOUSLY important to have a pair of glasses you LOVE! Sams glasses I got within a week, and the newer glasses I got same day so idk why they're making you wait weeks tho.
