Spending $100 at SMKW - What did I get?

What does $100 get when shopping for budget pocket knives? At SMKW I was able to get 14 knives (15 when counting an accidental duplicate) of varying quality - some nice, some cheaper in initial quality...overall, I like quite a few of these knives, but I think I'm going to stick with USA made brands like Case for my personal collection....though a couple of the knives in this haul could persuade me to consider keeping a few. That green "military" knife with the German name is a Victorinox Swiss Army copy. I used to have one (my Dad may actually still have it). You have to close the knife/saw blades before opening the blade on the opposite side because they leverage the same spring. That small blade is an reamer, which would be used for poking holes, enlarging holes. Back before I discovered Leatherman multitools, Swiss Army knives were my jam. It was a mind-warp seeing all the crazy stuff they packed into those.

@@kev-reviews I actually have the 108mm Victorinox version of this, and it is a fantastic knife. I have over 220 Swiss Army Knives, and you can't go wrong with any of them.

If you ever go to the store make sure to take a list of things you want to look at/buy. There is so much to see you can go into sensory overload. There are 5 knife distributors in Virginia that sell online with very competitive pricing on name brand knives. Blade HQ and The Knife Center put out videos weekly. Atlantic knife is another good one to deal with. Blue Ridge knife is another good one. Rough Rider is SMKW house brand. Good inexpensive knives. Has anyone been to the knife store at the TN/GA line (Frost of the old Parker Frost) 19:12 or Atlanta knife? SMKW also has knife kits in the Rough Rider line. I believe that Bear and Sons knives are made in Alabama.

You're really getting into these knives, but you seem to really enjoy them !! Just like when you got me to buy my Craftsman T210 that i love, now you've talked me into buying a pocket knife..... LOL

Wow. You’ve been burning through those knees. I hope this one heals well. I have been waiting for when I can shave off this stupid mustache (dr told me to grow it to reduce scarring,) but I might do one with the stache and just run with it 😂

House roof. I’ve been going back and forth with the roofing company that installed the roof a year ago. They’re trying to blame the chimney. I will have it completely encapsulated within a few hours. We have over an inch of rain forecast for tomorrow, so that should make it conclusive.
