I own re:coded and..... it is WAY to easy. I beat the final boss so many times it got boring, so I de-leveled to 14 and dequiped block. I STILL WON. I was on standard mode as well, so it wasn't beginner. Critical is easy enough, certianly the easiest KH game I ever played.

You shouldn't not get into it. It's no where near P2W. And you earn jewels slowly through playing, from logging in everyday, and also they're given out for free for various reasons(such as maintenance). I've bought several 3k medal packs and I ever bought jewels when the game first dropped.

This is basically my experience with the epic medal carnival. I spent $15 to get the Ven medal the other week before they got rid of the farmable medals and all I got were medals I already had, the same medals I get every time I do the Carnival, and no Ven. :( If Square ever wants me to spend money on this game again, I need to have better chances to win the medals they advertise it with.
