Thank you for the comment 😊 The food was actually quite decent and it seems that the staff make a lot of effect to make the meals more interesting for the patients here.

I hope you are recovering well from your surgery! I also had a surgery at the end of February, and was very interesting to watch this video and compare and contrast your hospital stay in Japan with mine in the US.

Thank you for the good wishes 🙏🏻 I hope you are recovering well too! It was my first time ever having to be hospitalized. Almost everything at the hospital was in Japanese only. I am relatively fluent but it was still somewhat overwhelming since there is very little information available. Hope this video would help someone. Let’s stay healthy and away from the hospital 😉

Did you get to choose your meals?

Not in my case 🥲 It depends on the patient’s health condition. The healthier patients once in a while get to choose the main menu (regular or special menu).
