Sequim is known for their beautiful lavender fields which generally take place in the spring / summer months of June - July.
Sequim is located along the western bank in the state of Washington.
This was my first time coming to Sequim in the winter months so I wasn't necessarily sure what to expect.
If you're the type of person to enjoy visiting small quiet towns, then Sequim is the right place for you!
What Sequim is primarily known for is their lavender fields as well as their lavender festival which occurs every July. Unfortunately due to the Covid - 19 Pandemic, the lavender festival was cancelled.

However, it doesn't mean that Sequim isn't worth visiting. The city still provides that feelings of a small home-town community. You'll be greeted by locals as well as visitors looking to get away from the big city and enjoy the sights and sounds of a small town.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of the places we visited during our day trip here include:
Salty Girls Seafood: saltygirlsseafood.com/
Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a good place for seafood and beer. Make sure to try their fresh and succulent oysters!
Hurricane Coffee: hurricanecoffeecompany.square...
A nice quiet place to get your coffee fix. They have a unique set of flavors that fit the town setting. Try out their Dark Raspberry Mocha!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make sure to check out some of the local shops and boutiques which in order to support the local community!
I didn't get a chance to check out the other stores, but definitely take the time to visit Sequim.
(Note: the timing of this video occurred before dropping back down to phase I and the increased restrictions on traveling. Always follow safety protocols and wear your mask!)

If you are comming over from Seattle, the Edmonds to Kingston ferry is the fastest its only 40 min to Sequim once you reach Kingston. And its only about twelve miles north on I-5 from the downtown Seattle Ferries.

I am a Sequimite, I have lived here for 10 years as of Sept 2nd of this year!! FYI, those are pronounced "blin" for Blyn and "dungeon-ess" for Dungeness

Did you feel out of place since it isn’t diverse? We’re looking at property to build a retirement home and looking at this small town. It’s missing the food scene for us though.

I mean coming from an Asian background, i didn't really feel discriminations at all. For me the lack of food diversity would probably do it for me, but for retirement living, i'd say this place would be pretty nice. You're also close to the Canadian border which would be fantastic!

oy my guy, this was a little cringy. locals are a bit particular here and I guess I'm the example... but why make a video about a place but be uninformed about it or local pronunciations? you seem *super* likeable but I live here so I gotta say it. 1. 1:24 you are at Salty Girls on 2nd & W. Washington; the main street through town. 2. 1:37 "duhn·juh·nuhs" holy moly at least learn this one. we aren't just about lavender. 3. 3:29 Blynn. like "Lynn". there's a lot more to Sequim than what you covered, but I get that it was just meant to be a short video, and I'm not trying to be rude, honest! but y'know, I live here and like to see it represented properly also. :) glad you like it here. 🦀🌿🦌🥾🏕🎣☀️🏔🛶☕🌅

Sequim used to be about the irrigation festival until all of the outsiders came in and made it about the lavender festival. You should do some research on history. This commentary was disappointing.

The WA ferries only charge in one direction.. the 'return' trip is covered by your fare. Take Seattle to Bainbridge ferry and you end up on Kitsap peninsula and get to cross the floating bridge to Olympic peninsula.
