Thanks so much! I was trained to do that at the Music Conservatory in my city where I studied. So music I hear I can translate to music on paper. Or chordsymbols etc. So I liked to share that with everybody!

@@unforgettablejazzfusion5546 That's great - you are really talented. I am learning to do that as well, but I'm not as proficient as you yet! Identifying some of those big extension chords can be difficult!

@@griffinwade-salay4098 The key, at least for me, was training my ear behind a piano or keyboard training intervalls. You must be able to point out all intervalls from a flat 2 towards two octaves. From there major or minor, dominant or major 7 etc were no problem anymore because I practiced those intervalls. Deciphering extensions on top of chords became much easier that way because all intervalls have a distinct role within the harmonic family. Great stuff to keep yourself busy with ;)
