I have a feeling this time of year there are far fewer people. One draw back of this super popular spot is how crowded it gets. We haven't been but really want to so excited to see this one. Awe, Riley in the sand is so cute :) Ohhh bummer of the one direction trails missing the spot you planned to see. I have a feeling its because of the popularity of the area. I have to say I'm surprised by your shots how beautiful it looks on off-season. WOW you have me wanting to head to Rock House now!!! Thanks for sharing all of this guys.

We had many places mostly to ourselves, which is how we enjoy it best. Y'all will love Hocking Hills so much, there was more we could have seen if we had time. We didn't expect the sand but Riley was super happy about it for sure. Yeah we're still confused about missing it, but looking at the trail map it almost seems like we walked right by old man's cave 🙃 oh well, another reason to go back. We were on the fence about going here in the dead of winter but honestly we find the beauty is everywhere year round, it's just knowing what to expect. We're so glad you enjoyed this one! 😁

Not sure if you were able to hike it, but the upper gorge trail at conkle’s hollow is beautiful. There’s so much to see and do at hocking hills state park

No we didn't get to hike that one but it's on our list for next time! The whole area blew us away, it was a magical place for sure

We really enjoyed our time in Ohio, we feel like it's a state that doesn't get enough love and we hope to explore more of it someday. You'll have to let us know next week if we went to the oddities you had in mind, there were a lot to choose from!

The long-awaited episode is here! Loved watching little Riley walking around all the trails. The trails were so confusing that we accidentally missed the Devil's Bathtub during our first visit. 😅 But we did catch Old Man's Cave! So a similar thing happened to us but the opposite! haha So glad you guys checked out Rock House. The pigeons in there are definitely crazy and unexpected!

Riley did such a great job with all the stairs and tunnels in this one, she slept well that night! We're so glad we weren't the only ones that felt confused, it seems odd to not be able to go and see a section without having to redo the entire hike but oh well! We almost didn't go to Rock House but we're so glad we did. Catching that whole pigeon scene is one of the best things we caught simultaneously, that's the good stuff that you just can't plan. Thanks for watching y'all!

Those are very interesting falls and trails. And you both are brave exploring the cave. I think i am the one pulling my companion away from that cave if we are only 2 on that place. 😅

It was such a beautiful area. The cave was pretty wide open so it never seemed frightening, although the pigeon swooping was a little scary hahaha. Thanks for watching!

My husband's family owns a huge part.ofnthe land in Hocking Hills. It is SO beautiful!! It's a 3 hour drive there for us but WELL worth it! The only time I felt sick going there was when I was reading while riding there. My brother-in-law's old dog would unfortunately throw up in his truck sometimes 😬

That's so fortunate to have access like that! We always heard it was beautiful but it blew us away, it's such a special place

Beautiful caves they got there in Ohio. And nice to go on a trail through these caves. You can see that Riley really likes to roam these trails. The Devil's Bathtub, such a great and suitable name for a pool like this. Nice footage of the different caves and waterfalls. I love that Western music that you put under the scenes where you enter cave nr. 3, which must be my favorite cave, also because of the characteristic music and especially because of the shot of the closed fairy tale-like bridge all covered with plants. And a new fry for Riley. She sure likes fries.

She loved these trails a lot and loved all the stairs, one of her favorite things to climb. The bathtub exceeded our expectations and we could have watched swirl for a long time. That was also our favorite cave as well. She loves fries so much and never minds getting her new state fry. We accidentally filmed the first time in slow motion and had to film it again, so she had an extra fry hahaha.

@@RileyRoamsthese trails look very easy to climb, especially for small dogs like Riley. Although I must admit that I'm not a big fan of hiking, I sometimes do like to roam around some trail like when I was in Malta at the cliffs with a nice view over the sea, which put me kind of back into the heart of nature. Yeah, just same as Riley, I would never mind eating more fries, because we love fries in the Netherlands.

Liked your video a lot. The one way trails didn't start until after the epidemic. Before that they were all two way. The park actually closed down for awhile so new exits could be made.
@RileyRoams8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! That makes sense, we had a feeling it was due to the pandemic. we normally don't mind one way trails but these did make it tough to see everything we wanted. Thanks for watching!

I grew up in Logan, OH. The parks used to be much lower in attendance. It’s usually very crowded now.

I can believe it, it's an incredible place. We were fortunate it wasn't packed when we went. We don't mind sharing nature but sometimes the crowds can be too much.

Are you allowed to swim in any of those caves/waterfall areas?
@RileyRoams5 ай бұрын
No unfortunately there is no swimming in any part of the state park except for the designated beach area at Lake Logan and Lake Hope State Park. Thanks for watching!
