How can you not tear up during the bathroom scene. The man literally hit rock bottom here and just trying to keep himself and his kid afloat one day at a time and was reaching such a breaking point. So heartbreaking 😢

Movies are great and all, but real life, there are many details not shown. I was a landlord once, to single mother, with daughter. Initially she paid rent, then after like 6 months the rent stopped coming. I tried to give her some time and ask her situation. She kept making excuses, wouldn't even let me into the house to see if any damages were caused and things dragged out to 18 months. Eventually I had to evict her. This woman was a hoarder, and wouldn't allow me to see/repair the water damage. She kept it a secret all this time. I literally had to spend thousands to renovate the home.

@@Ahmed-DB sometimes tenants do stuff that put landlords in a difficult situation. The tenants are not paying taxes, not paying for mortgage, for repairs. Sometimes landlord go bankrupt keeping a property, i for instance didn't make any money off my property, I think I put in more than I got out of her rent payments. Everyone always side with tenants, but every case you need to see the details to judge.

This movie, and especially this scene, makes me feel so grateful for how my life has gone. It is easy to forget that others may be dealing with so many worse situations. I had a couple of great opportunities come my way that have allowed me to have a leg up. Sometimes, people just need to get the chance to shine and they will. Just because someone is dressed a bit rough doesn't mean they can't rock a suit.

Now he’s correcting his life by trying to finish his internship and being blessed with the job he needed. That must’ve changed his life.

So cruel and so sad for a families and individuals to get through something like that. Families and individuals need more help to have home security and food security too. In this scene they used their imagination to create mentally a different scenario to avoid and overcome the mental suffering of being without a safe place to sleep, eat and shower with dignity.

But the hotel/motel didn't kick him out for no reason right? He didn't keep his word and pay the rent. I mean, that sucks...but they also cannot cut corners when running a business. If they cut corners and gave everyone a free ride, the entire motel would go out of business and everyone would be on the streets.
