I’ve been married for 14 years (we’ve been actually together for 16 years). I love spending time with husband but you’re right. Sometimes it’s nice to just have some time alone. Checking in with yourself is important. You can’t be good to others if you aren’t good to yourself. ❤️

@Simply Halal Yes. And I know my husband needs “down-time” as well. He works really hard at a demanding job. So when he goes to into our garage (where we have some gym equipment) and works out or just sits and relaxes with a book I don’t bother him. It’s important to have quiet time.

For the longest time when I was driving, I would have silence and no music. So many people thought I was weird and crazy- but I didn't mind the silence. Being alone in the car was one of the few times you have enough silence to really think about things.

You are so right about solitude! I have been healing so much during the pandemic, since I had to isolate, being 72 and asthmatic. But...I loved having the time to myself and felt guilty about loving it so much sometimes. Your video has helped me to get rid of the guilt...and just be happy I am healthy....I am still isolating, we have started the "second wave". I feel the same way as you Rhea :) i am married and enjoy my alone time, i am more mindful in the present moment as instead of talking to someone and being distracted, i am focused on my surroundings, the different sounds and scents coming from food i am eating. I used to travel for work a lot so got very comfortable with eating out on my own. But a lot of my colleagues would only ever order room service and hide in their hotel instead of exploring the city they were visiting, a missed opportunity I would say.
