puzzle #2: what about Island go? representing both Spell Pierce and Force that was my instinct, because neither cantrip helps you resolve Counterbalance, but might make opponent not go off turn 2, and instead Duress. They take Counterbalance, but now turn 2 you have 8 looks for a Force (your draw for turn, 3 for Preordain, 4 for Ponder), which is prob 55% As opposed to casting a cantrip turn 1, they're more likely to just go for it and end the game.

Hey Matt. In the first example is there any merit to grabbing Great Furnace with Karn instead of second bridge. That scenario allows us to gurantee 6 mana on the following turn letting us go rabble into bridge regardless of the draw step. It also gurantees a win if they don’t have the ass trophy.

That was my instinct as well.

Yes, this is a good play that I didn't consider and does sound best. Someone on twitter said go get Liquimetal Coating to start stone raining them if they don't improve. That was interesting too but I think your Furnace play makes perfect sense. Thanks for commenting.

loved this video my friend. I'm struggling to find advanced concepts and strategy for mtg, tons of begginers stuff, but very little advanced stuff...

Really like this video concept, I'd like to see more of it.

A hidden interaction in the MU of th first puzzle is: With Bloodmoon in play Dark Depths doesnt enter the batteflied with counters, therefore if Bloodmoon ever gets removed Dark Depths triggers immediately and sacs itself. I dont think Karn for another Bridge is that good here. Karn for Liquimetal Coating sounds better bc next turn you go Bridge, destroy Depths and you dont even need another mana from the top.

RUG Midrange: I think if you dont intend to keep Pelt collector you should have boarded it out. With Oko (that we have in hand and can cast) I dont fear losing a longer game by getting burned out. Trading the Pelt Collector for a 1 drop is really fine, if you trade if for the Stomp and therefore their whole turn its also fine. Shock(+antoher 1 drop) is bit meh but thats life. Oko gets the game out for each really fast, Oko gains virtual 5 life every turn, MonoR beats that with a board presence therefore I like everything that prevents them from getting one. They are very welcome to Stomp or trade for my 1 drop.
