Spermonde Islands, Makassar South Sulawesi

Spermonde is a group of islands located in western of Makassar.
Spermonde consists of 121 small islands with various potentials to support the lives and livelihoods of people in South Sulawesi.
Spermonde is a producer of fish and the best tourist attractions in South Sulawesi.
The name spermonde was given by the Dutch because the islands like small sperm seen from the airplane.
Barang Caddi is one of the islands of the spermonde.
Barang Caddi island is very densely populated and inhabited by the Makassar tribe community.
Barang Caddi community are fishermen and boat makers.
This island is approximately 6 miles from the city of Makassar with a travel time of approximately 40 minutes by boat.
But the best island for traveling is Samalona Island and the island
Samalona Island has beautiful white sand. This island is located not too far from the city of Makassar only 30 minutes away by boat, more and less 4 miles from the city of Makassar.
Samalona is one of the best places to retreat and watching the sunset.
