The Best Island Hopping No One Talks About (East Indonesia)

Island hopping is probably the best activity you can do in east Indonesia, so on my trip to the Kei archipelago in south Maluku, Indonesia, I wanted to explore as many islands as I could. On my last day in Kei Kecil, I went on a boat trip to three nearby islands, called Pulau Ngaf, Pulau Er and Pulau Ngodan. I didn't know much about these islands previously, so their beauty blew my mind - especially Er and Ngodan islands. Er has a gorgeous sandbank in front of it and shallow waters, while the water in front of Ngodan's pretty beach is a nursery for baby sharks - I saw maybe 20 of them.

Hello! it seems you know a lot about the Maluku :) ...with only about 10/12 days to spend in this part of the country what would you recommend to visit? North, central or south or a combination of these?

Hi! 10-12 days would be great for the north for example (Ternate, Halmahera and Morotai). Traveling to the south takes more time, but if you only go to the Keis for like 4-5 days, you could combine it with some islands in the central part (Saparua, Molana, Nusalaut, Haruku and Ambon, or maybe Seram for 3 days along with Ambon/Saparua).
