I'm 37 now... I still have my pair from college lolol. so like 14-16 years old. they are actually just sitting under my bed. I worn these babies on hikes, in caves, cycling... insanely beat up, and they do smell very bad. however, I replaced the sole once, but overall still good.

That’s really cool. Which model are they? And how did you get the sole replaced? Curious what that process involved.

@@AndrewRockKZbin typical like topsiders. in addition, I took it to a local cobbler. I don't prefer new soles. from experience when a cobbler replaces sperrys sole they generally use whats in the shop. so I would normally do is take another old pair I'm not wearing in as well, and tell them the switch the soles to a different shoe.

That’s good to know. It’s probably pretty easy and cheaper to find new sperry soles. Never really thought of that idea. But when the time comes I think I’d do that for the Gold Cups because those shoes have been phenomenal. The other cheaper ones it’s probably not worthwhile

Never heard of it. Will have to check it out. Ended up using the leather honey conditioner on it. There’s a video if interested.

Are you being paid for this review? Very poor workmanship - the shoes you are showing only last between 2 - 6 months. I bought a pair last year and the front of the sole broke off. That was in Australia and I received a full refund. I was in Panama and bought a new pair from the Sperry shoe store. The same thing happened. Sperry USA say it's not their problem.

No not this review. I was just providing feedback based on my personal experience. Were yours the lower end model or the Gold Cup? The lower end ones definitely are lower quality as far as the insole and upper. My Gold Cups have lasted super well though and I wear them literally all the time. These pairs are all also from about 4 years ago. So maybe the quality of sperries have become more inferior with time.
