You should try a single spey off the left shoulder. Perhaps more efficient.

I'll 2nd that opinion. Always the tack hand cast.I never see left shoulder casts when out fishing.I encounter upstream winds most often.The single spey has the most economy of motion. It is best for obstructions,trees and the like. It is difficult to obtain,particularly right hand line handling.Once you have gained the skills,the left and right hand, single and double speys, will handle any angling situation.
