I still remember waking up one morning to the news that Celtic had agreed a deal to sign J-League MVP, Kyogo Furuhashi, from Vissel Kobe. There was no rumours, just completely out of nowhere. Fast forward three and a half years, 185 games and 85 goals later, that wee Japanese striker leaves Glasgow a Celtic ICON! On behalf of EVERY Celtic fan, THANK YOU KYOGO! Kyogo never won any titles or individual awards in the J-League. (The MVP was Iwata.) However, I think Kyogo would have had a good chance of winning the top scorer and MVP if he had stayed in Japan. I was lucky to see his talent blossom to perfection in Scotland.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇯🇵🍀

@@THE-OBOTS Kyogo began to improve his teamwork with his teammates in late December. His 10 goals are currently second in the league. (The top scorer is 11.) He has scored more goals than Maeda and Kuhn. If he had stayed at Celtic, he would have had a good chance of becoming the top scorer this season. If you still feel that you are not satisfied, just stop watching the Scottish league.

@@abby78965 I’ve had a season ticket for Celtic park since the 80s. 10 goals by mid January isn’t enough. Kyogo was good but had improvements to make. Honestly once a player leaves Celtic loose interest in them, win a champions league or break their leg. I really don’t care. Anyway only two of them left now, not be long before Reo & Maeda head off too.

It's not the CF's fault, it's a problem with the team style. Rodgers' style this season is one where wingers score. The team as a whole is not bad in terms of the number of goals. The number of chance balls to the CF was less than last season, and overwhelmingly less than when he was at Ange era. Kyogo and Idah both felt stressed in the first half of the season. In January, it started to improve. Looking at the last match against Young Boys, Kyogo's three goals that were cancelled were great, and Idah's cooperation with the team was also great, and he started to shine. It should be noted that it was difficult for the CF to shine in the team style in the first half of that season.

He was like a breath of fresh air in Scottish football.. the goals he scored were electric especially that first season when defenders didn’t realise how good he actually was. A wee diamond.. thought we had another Larsson on our hands with that bhoy, he was that good.. will miss the wee man tremendously. Just sorry he never got to say goodbye..

I never realised what a pure finisher he is. I knew he was good, but as someone who doesn't follow celtic much, I hadn't clocked how much he played in a penalty box role. I guess, given his height I thought he played on the ball outside the box more. A lot of headers in there too. If he wasn't only 3'2" he would have been an absolute forward of world class level.

He was an excellent finisher, but even if he played as a number10 position or a winger, he had the skill and fantasy to be the best in the league. He was essentially a Roberto Baggio（with speed&stamina）-like player, but he was deployed as a CF and focused on playing like Inzaghi.
