I understand your point but legal matters can be very complicated whether one is guilty or not especially when it comes to ones rights because first this is an appellate court where it's the defendants who brought these things before the courts for consideration where the court has to look at a lot of things like the men's constitutional rights to a fair trial,their constitutional rights for a speedy trial,the judges have to look at past mvrder cases that's been sent back to the appellate court in jamaica/Caribbean and the decisions that was handed down,the interest of justice not only for the victims but also for the accused.so the 3 panel judges will look at all these things whereas if this case should be retried based on their decision and if the men are found guilty they will appeal on constitutional grounds to the privy council which won't look good on the judges
