Victoria sang that part, telling the story how Geri left at the sudden when they were on the peak of their worldwide success in 1998. And ironically in 2019, Geri sang that part & of course it means alot since 'Goodbye' was written & dedicated to Geri & she was finally singing this song (with her own solo part replacing Victoria), when Posh Spice herself decided not to be part of the Spiceworld Tour in 2019.

Well, for a start, she was the engine for other four girls to believe that they could conquer the world with their music. Geri was the one who came up with group's name 'Spice.' And she sold the philosophy of 'girl power' to the Melanies, Emma & Victoria and then, they sold the same philosophy in their first 2 albums. And when she left Spice Girls, the group started to lose its spark before parting ways in the end of 2000. And in 2007, she reunited with the Spice Girls again & it went on in 2019. So yes, she IS the glue that holds the Spice Girls even when Victoria decided to turn off her mic.

In terms of style and attitude she’s the most iconic. Her Union Jack dress is synonymous with the Spice brand, and she coined Girl Power. Gerri was a driving force behind the girls leaving their original management and finally getting signed to a label. Also it’s hard to deny that she had the most successful solo career.
