Miss you mom. She loved spice girls and this song was played this alot in my home before passing away in 2004 as a memorial for her friend. I remember her crying to this missing her closest friend. Now i come back to this now and again sometimes when im really missing her, and i tear up everytime. Grown ass man crying over a spice girls son lol but man this hits so fcking hard.

"Look for the rainbow in every storm. Find out for certain, loves gonna be there for you. You'll always be someone's baby." I adore the way she sings those words. When this song came out, I had been a Spice Girls fan since the beginning, and when I first heard this, as a fan, I wept. I felt as if they were singing to the fans. It's a beautiful song and it will always be. LoveU Spice Girls and ThankU for being a part of my life 😘

This song is one of the saddest I know. I think a lot of the power comes from the fact that it meshed perfectly with the Spice Girls' story in two different ways. On the obvious level, they were saying goodbye to Geri, who had left the group. But on another level, the girls were saying goodbye to us. I think they knew that the Spice Girls moment was ending, and were probably aware of this second meaning to the song as they wrote and sang it. I think many of their fans understood it that way too. Many of their fans were quite young, so some might not have understood yet the way pop moments come and go, but I bet even they felt it.

The thing I like about the Spice Girls is that they are very easy to listen to. Their voices aren't so aggressive. There are some singers that are great, with power, and attitude, but their voices are overly aggressive and can give you a heart attack. Spice Girls have really chill voices and you just relax when you listen.
@santeriabanks2930 Жыл бұрын
That's absolutely absurd and it's wrong! The singer's tone in a song is an important one as it helps to promote the overall effect of the song that's being presented. And of course, there is a sense of sending the right type of tone with the right type of song in order to connect with the one whose listening. However, you are suggesting that in many songs with powerful singers is that they are aggressive with their tones in the songs that they sing and that is just not so. It's okay to love tones that are mellow, in which you are accustomed to but don't inadvertently use that as a excuse as to not to listen to songs with high level feelings and or emotions. After all, that's what tone represents in a song. What should be focused on is the message in that particular song. Don't be a one thing person!

This song represents more than just a member leaving a girl group. It signifies the end of an amazing 3 years with a girl group that changed a lot of our lives. We felt betrayal when Geri left. She not only left the group but she left our lives and for a lot of us teenagers it was our first time of feeling betrayed. Yeah deep but at the time it really hurt. Goodbye was the last song they did as a group who actually wanted to be together. Forever was completed just to prove they could release another album without Geri, but their hearts weren’t in it.
@kerronwalker15892 жыл бұрын
Forever is actually a really good album, there was just no mega promotions behind it unlike the first 2 albums. Vocally they sound amazing in forever, people only downplay it cause it wasent as successful as spice and spice world. Plus they had grown as people and the entertainment industry had changed to, r&b and hip hop was breaking through at the time. So of course they where gonna sound different can't keep the sound of there first album forever.

Best song about the end of a friendship. It's sad that it's over and you have to respect that, but no matter what happens nothing can ever undo the great times you had together and you can both still be happy for each other.

Emma Bunton on this video looked so stunningly gorgeous! I have always loved her but I also liked the rest of its members. As a kid growing up listening to them in the 90s I cried about the news when they broke up. My mom bought the cassette tape for me to use on my Walkman! Haha! How time flies! I still love them and I will be a fan of these ladies forever. Nothing compares!

The song simply exuding spark of hopes, positive vibes and melancholic sort of feel on reminiscing something beautiful. It would be dealing with a shattered dream, memories you sow with love ones, highschool or departure of pet and person moving away from your life and refuse to look back. The persona of 'Spice Girls' is dynamic within this song..., the harmony and orchestration simply essentuates the beautifulness of this masterpiece. I would say one of a strong ballad song in their discography
