I had the craziest day at work today. Some guy came in and started dancing around with this song playing in the background. He turned some of my coworkers into balls, he turned fired bullets into rose petals, super weird. But at least the music was pretty good, so I got over it

This song has such a "let's bring chaos to the world, by making everything a game and everyone right by putting a doll called Stooky Bill behind every tv programm just to dramatically appear in 2023 and perform with men turning into balls and bullets into rose petals"-vibe, truly awesome. Finding similar vibes in songs like "Voodoo Child", "Rasputin" and "I can't decide". Imagine someone would just turn these vibes into reality. Woops-

Your right and you know what there music is waaaayyy better than the crap that is made today. Many of us when were pre teens and teenagers both female and male listened to them and thought they were awesome and were afraid to admit but nowadays we are all grown up in our 20s and 30s and there is no shame in likeing music from the last decade of good music.

social media has degraded popular music...it'd probably be a flash in the pan just like everything else due to attention spans....on the flipside though, the likes of One Direction would have been laughed out of the building if they attempted to break in during the 90's, the bar was so high....that's why mainstream sucks today...

@@rampageclover9788 It may also partially have something to do with how the music is produced. My teacher in a music related course mentioned how most commercial music these days is created or at least edited with programs that often push (perhaps unintentionally) one towards specific kinds of arrangements.

It's called tokenism. If you want to see true politocal activism, fighting for equality and diversity in bands you need to go back to the ska bands of the 1980s. Tue spice girls were just sell out tokenism, they did nothing to make anyone more equal. Sorry.
