THE REAL REASON WHY THE CHURCH AND THE PARENTS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SPICE.

*It is baffling that entertainers argue they have no influence over the young and impressionable, yet here is Spice actively seeking to use her influence to inform these very minds. Individuals like Spice seem to believe that their influence is only significant when they wish to instill positive values in the youth.* Until entertainers like Spice, Vybz Kartel, and others who share the belief that they shouldn’t be held accountable for shaping the minds of impressionable youths acknowledge their responsibility, they should not be granted access-especially on school campuses-to these young minds. *Children are naturally malleable, with sponge-like minds that voraciously absorb information.* You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Unfortunately, Spice should not be allowed in front of these children. One cannot admonish the very parents who form PTAs and then expect them to be comfortable with entertainers entering schools to, from their perspective, corrupt their children’s minds-especially when those entertainers refuse to take responsibility for their role in shaping youth. Similarly, from a moral standpoint, why wouldn’t church organizations take the same position? Once again, Spice, you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

She made her bed by marketing herself as a lewd artiste and Dancehall music is probably consumed by more teens and preteens than any other group in Jamaica. The only reason Spice get the opportunity to do a school tour is because she is the dancehall artiste known as Spice, and certainly not because she's Grace Hamilton who is trying do a good deed, as she would want us to believe. I agree with the church body and Parent Teacher’s Association. Call a spade a spade. You can’t get sweet from bitter water. How can she motivate someone to do something which she’s not doing. I will end on this note spice need to practice what she preach before awarded that position.
