Thank you Mheshimiwa Kioni, for clarifying the fact that those people propagating the fact that the A in GEMA was initially meant to stand for Akamba is blantant lies. Mzee Kenyatta in his book "Facing Mt. Kenya" written in 1938, clearly stated that although Kambas are linguistically close to GEMA, it is not known when they went their way. During Mau Mau war of liberation the Akamba chose to join the Home Guards and the colonisers by enlisting in thousands in the colonial army to fight the Mau Mau. We can work together for the sake of politics but not try to destroy the sanctity of GEMA.

The One Man One VOTE One Shilling thinking is Good. However, much as it is supposed to create EQUITY , I wonder how it is supposed to do that when the proposal EXCLUDES slightly over 50% of the Kenyan population- which is Under 18 Years old, without a Vote, a Kura. Kenyan Children should not be forgotten in policy making. They are the biggest population group. Their rights have been ignored by succesive governments for far too long. The VOTE element may be used to exclude them from policy updating IF politicians and other government policy makers use the Kura as the determining factor rather than citizenship. The opposition need to update the slogan to something 100% inclusive like One Citizen One Shilling policy or similar. Ama? POLITICIANS being fixated on VOTES. I wonder Whe
