That must be New Mexico jerky. Christmas means the red and green chile together. It is delicious.

Sardines is also a staple food here in the Philippines. For the most part we just open it and put calamansi to lessen the fishiness then eat it with rice.

In the Philippines, we call the water spinach KANG KONG in Tagalog 😁

Another name for water spinach is called ‘Kang Kong’ Here in Singapore, it’s a pretty common and very cheap vegetable - typically SGD 90 cents per bundle. We usually fry it with garlic, light soya sauce and balachan chilli ( a kind of shrimp paste chilli ) It’s super yummy!

I luv sardines in hot tomato sauce. What I do is I chop serrano peppers or thai chili in it. It tastes better when it's more spicy.

Crispy beef jerky is the best! Lots of local vendors in Hawai'i seek these at craft fairs and farmer markets.
