I review the Spider Farmer SE3000 LED grow light for a 3x3 0r 90cm x 90cm grow space.
The light requires a little assembly which is very easy and quick.
The Meanwell LED driver can be mounted on the back of the bars or remotely, whichever suits your setup. The driver has on board dimming as well as ports for daisy chain dimming control.
The white LEDs are Samsung LM301B with protective coating and there are also added UVA and Far red diodes.
The light was tested in a 3x3 area at 12" or 30cm hanging height. The average PAR was 775 µmols which is a good level and the system efficiency calculated at 2.17 µmols/watt or usable PPF/watt.

I don't even consider buying a new grow light unless it's been reviewed by MIGRO. It's nice to have a consumer advocate on our side it seems the world of LED grow lights has a few snake oil salesmen in it and it's nice to have somebody watching out for us consumers. Thank you MIGRO you're a class act!!! My only concern with this light now is they've changed the mean well drivers to a house brand spider farmer driver just a bit concerning

Is financing something you may be able to do. You can use sezzle and break the payments up. LED depot are really helpful in that regard. It’s an crucial investment and long as you start with proven stable genetics, keep your environmental conditions dialed in and keep it simple you will get your return on investment back very first harvest..

Got 2 of the SE3000s in a 3x5. It’s a beastly set up. Harvested 1360 grams dry and cured.with 6 photos in 3 gallon rain science mesh grow bags with a just a 30 day veg and flip to flower. Probably one of my favorite setups for sure I’ve had over the years. Running them in parallel makes for almost 1 5 foot long light by 3 feet wide and incredibly even ppfd.

Totally possible IMO especially with some higher yielding cultivars. 30 days veg on a clone even more believable I personally have seen what the se5000 has done for some lagging seedlings in one weeks time brought from under t5s. I too would call BS had I not had seen it with my own eyes. Never witnessed in decades what a difference these LEDs make as far as explosive growth.

@@enragedwookie7863 yea these kids todays just don’t know.. But are willing to chuck serious coin for unstable unknown genetics and autos that whos yield and quality isn’t worth the water used to grow em. All in the name of skimpin out and just flat out to hard headed to grasp concept of investing in your grow. I see slot of growers who just toss a seed they know nothing about into a pot far too large to start it under a light far too weak grow it and drown and over feed the the thing the bulk of its life and wonder why they ain’t hitting it outta the park park with 60 to 80 grams per square foot of grow space of nothing but top tier medicine dried and cured. I know part of it just sheer laziness and lack of commitment cuz they’re happy with shelling out obscene amounts of cash at dispos cuz it’s a convenience for em and this is the world we live in where people despise and have a fit with the slightest annoyance for being inconvenienced..

I've seen a video where a guy doesn't count his "veg" until it's in Its final pot size, then they are "vegging" until they flip. Even with that, 8z off 3 gallon pots isn't likely or wise. You'd have to water everyday assuming your plants are THAT ACTIVE. Sounds like a rookie situation so I'm calling ducktales (woo-ooo)

I sent the light back and waited 2-3 months for a refund, going back and forth through emails almost every day. They finally refunded me when i publicly called them out on a forum, and they did it just to keep me quiet. Mars or Spider, never again!

@rickster9065
@rickster9065 7 ай бұрын
I know you wrote this 11 months ago but I've been looking at efficiency recently aswell...... so average PAR of 775 is in metres squared so you have to multiply that figure in metres squared for the grow area so 3ft × 3ft is roughly (general conversion is 30cm = 1ft) 90cm × 90cm which works out at 0.81 metres squared (0.9 metres × 0.9metres) multiplied by the average of 775, then divide by wattage consumed works out at 2.168...... so 2.17 basically.......... 775 (average par) × 0.81 (grow area) ÷ 289.5 (wattage) = 2.168 (efficiency) hope that helps

Check out hygro hybrids channel on KZbin.. and look what he's doing with a single 730w Spiderfarm fixture.. it's sickening. As a potential new hobbyist, Spiderfarm and Mars Hydro are definitely on my short list of fixtures to look at.

As a potential new hobbyist, some warning for you. You should know that Mars and Spider are the lesser brands on the market. They're not even mid-range, they are below mid-range. They are popular mostly because of the lower price and high marketing. However, for the low quality they offer, the price is actually too expensive. Often times it's a waste of money because their lights are risky, it's gambling. It might work for years and bring good results if you're lucky, or the light might stop working after few months. They may send you a Meanwell driver, or they might send you the cheaper driver and tell you: ''But it will still grow!'' However, you payed more money for the Meanwell so basically you got scammed. Customer service i give it 2/10 points, and those 2 points are just because they are nice before the purchase, but after purchase they treat you like trash.. My Mars light came bent, and it was running extremely hot like a toaster, it smelled like burning electronics. I sent the light back and waited 2-3 months for a refund, going back and forth through emails almost every day. They were trying to avoid refunding me for a brand new light i bought which was not working properly. I had to call them out on a forum to get their attention to finally refund me, and they only did it because they were afraid i would ruin their reputation too much. Because i went public calling them out, they had no choice but to refund me. That's a sign of an untrustworthy, unreliable and unprofessional company. Don't get mislead by paid advertisers, sponsors and those who won a free light for a contest. They are asked to give a nice review. Mars and Spider invest more money into marketing strategy than actual quality. Real good brands don't need too many ads. Honestly, you can get a 10x more quality light, just for 10-20% more money than Mars and Spider. It's worth spending few extra bucks for a proper high quality light. Or if you really want a cheap light, you can buy unbranded Chinese LED grow lights from many different shopping websites, they are half the price of Mars and Spider but the quality is the same. Mars and Spider use those same lights and just slap their name on it. You basically pay for the name being advertised. Don't get caught up in all the marketing BS, go for Migro or Lumatek/Photontek and you'll be set for many years.

@@twentytwo138 you’re the biggest SpiderFarmer troll on social media and full of shit.. Lesser brands ? In comparison to what ? Well let’s take Photontek and compare quality build . Component’s used performance and customer service. Phontontek is the same light as Lumatec.. Well known brand for their HID bulbs and ballasts. Let’s get one thing understood..Well known in no way correlates with the product build and performance whatsoever. Photontek uses inferior LED chips in comparison to the top bin Samsung LM301b and LM301H used in Spiderfarmer and Mars. Check 1 for SF and MH Both use a aluminum frame. Nothing to add here Photontek uses slightly more than 2/3rds the number of chips in comparison to SF and MH Check 1 for SF and MH Photontek uses a in-house brand driver. Anyone who’s used lumatec ballasts no their okay but can be hit or miss..So unproven unknown drivers.. SF abd MH uses Meanwell , Inventronics, Sosen and MOSO drivers..All proven reliable over a long history.. Check 4 SF and MH. Photontek uses a middle housing while the bars clip in the plastic seating..DR MJ COCO shows how wonky the connections are.. SF and MH uses removable adjustable bars with marine grade water tight push lock connectors. Check 1 for SF and MH Photontek in-house driver is overclocked coupled with fewer LEDs causes quite a bit of heat being produced.Significantly more than SF and MH cool to the touch.on top of that phontontek lack of ability to set the driver outside the space.. Check 3 more for SF and MH. At this point it’s obvious to the grower who’s serious about their craft and equipment used In every category that matters Spiderfarmer and Marshydro edge out Photontek in everything that matters . Being an Asian brand doesn’t automatically correlate to being a bad product. There’s thousands of documented grows with SF and MH. Not many at all of the Phtontek in comparison. And what brand did Shane have holding the top spot for a 4x4…….( SpiderfarmerSE7000) Look we get from the hundreds of hate comments you’ve splattered all over countless KZbin videos showcasing Spiderfarmer that you have a deep rooted obsession for hate geared towards a inanimate object s Grow Light. But the level you go to in making sure you comment on every Spiderfarmer video and leave reply’s on every positive comment involving their personal experience with the light……is well frankly disturbing and weird. For someone who has such deep negative feelings about SF and MH lights you sure do follow the social media where SF and MH are present . Are you just seeking for someone to say to you your hate for high performance grow is valid? Its okay buddy you’re perfectly welcome to hate high efficient reliable grow lights made with quality components. It’s a lil weird….but what isn’t these days.

@@twentytwo138 thank you for the reply. Although I am a potential new hobbyist, I am actually older. Dr Mj Coco, Migro, Justin2grow, Hygro Hybrids, Inside Hydro and G2G are all KZbinrs I watch and see their works/opinions. Photontek, hlg, lush, scyence, phantom photobio and chilled were the other brands that I've been doing extensive research on... But there's only one problem that I've seen.. most of the KZbin videos on current cycles being run... Don't feature these fixtures with the exception of HLG and even then it's only the 650r or the Diablo Scorpion. Mars and Spider... You can find cycles from 150w up to multiple 800w fixture cycles being conducted within the last year. So I ask.. if these brands are so much greater, where is the photontek SQ300 or 465 cycle videos at? Or lush that isn't a decade old. Or sycence that isn't just showing some massive farm with 100 fixtures. Or HLG 350r's? Right now Mars and Spider are showing up and their products are being used and truth be told they aren't that much cheaper than the main stream brands. The Mars Sp3000 is killing the game at 300w.. but with a 400.00 price tag. The Se7000 is a 730w monster single handedly kicking a$$ and taking names... 850.00. Hell last year in a 2x2 Mars tent with a Mars ts1000 (140.00, 150w) and a 5 gallon dwc bucket, Inside Hydro broke the internet with the quality and quantity he was able to achieve. Right now Mars and Spider offer a line up that is diversified and producing real live results. The glitz the glam of their marketing techniques isn't what draw me to them. Talk to any real Mercedes, BMW or Land Rover owner and they'll tell you that over their years of ownership.. they've come across a lemon or two.. that's just a part of the game. And as far as customer service and a warranty? From what I've personally witnessed.. the best warranty and customer service is having another fixture on deck and ready because NO company is immediately replacing your fixture in the 4th week of flower if your main fixture decides to take a dump. This hobby is not for the faint of heart financially or time wise. Once again, I am sincerely grateful for your response and take heed to your previous issue, however the streets are talking and Mars and Spider are currently putting out products that are yielding great results and therefore, in my opinion cannot be removed from the table. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZbSen6Qnt6dlc0 A very informative and unbiased opinion.

And again I´m asking, where is the diming function mate? Which stage at which hight for seedlings/ vegetation? People care about dimming because we´re growing at home in a very limited space and most just don´t have (space and money) for 2-4 tents with all perfect lighting, it has to work out in that one tent. Since all of you manufactures don´t supply those information at all and it´s "come in and find out" maybe I kill my plants, because the manufacturer isn´t telling me how much power his lamp needs in different stages, but why the f* should they care about us killing plants due to a simple lag of information. Are you manufacturers frigtend of the dimming resoults for your lamps or why is NO F*G ONE testing anywhere on the internet, are all reviews paid for? And you don´t need to do as sarrow testing for dimming, just give us the center and outline and we´ll figure out how the other values are PROBABLY like ourselves, that already would be enough for the dimming function.

The dimmer is on the gray box. Seedling stage 20-25% at about 28 inches Early to late veg 30 to 60% at about 24 to 18 inches. Early flower through stretch 80% at a height of 16 to 12 inches Mid flower 100% 12 inches Last week to 10 days before chop 90% at about 18 to 24 inches. Hope this helps.

@john doe what are you 8 years old or are you grown. What’s the big bad Spiderfarmer doing to pressure you and push you into a corner to buy their lights? Did they threaten you , blackmail you , harm you ? Seriously how the hell is Spiderfarmer bullying you into buying from them. I know this generation is soft and sensitive but come man. Spiderfarmer don’t even do any advertising on their own. And the head distributor Nancy Sheng is 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. Enough of your bull. Trust Spiderfarmer isn’t hurting for bussiness so bad they gotta strongarm people. The proof is in the pudding so to speak and growers are knocking it outta the park with their lights. Grow up. If you don’t wanna buy a light from then stiffen your backbone and don’t. You don’t wanna see growers smashing record number yields on social media then scroll on to something else..
