A good review, nice light.. I bought a while ago a light you tested that was sort of the same but with reflector ,400 watt model but with higher ppf corner scores more red diodes on the board than the sf4000 , the name was -IMVSincere 400w light that light cost what a third of the sf4000 .. I was a little unlucky having blue lights here because of another person and got cought so i was happy being able to set up a new grow after because of the price i got that light for ,what was it about 160 pound delivered to my door from irland, man thanks that helped me really out... I just ordered the Maxisisun mg3000 so looking forward to getting that light ....... Next time i can hopefully gett one of your lights now the prices have dropped and im in a new situation .. So thanks again man , love your honest reviews and product ... 10 thumbs up

@seadonwhite90962 жыл бұрын
I understand that efficiency wise the light isn’t bad, and as far as light spread, it is even. That being said, to advertise this light as being suitable for a 4x4 I think is a misnomer. I realize it will work but not as well as a 600 watt board or bar style that has a wider footprint and wider useful light spread. I have seen cannabis flowers in a 4x4 with this light hung correctly and they don’t compare in structure and density to a 630 watt bar style. I think this is a 3x3 light and then I think it’s spectrum leaves a little to be desired as far as really good flowers go.

I bought the SF2000 over a year ago after watching MIGRO's video on it and I have never been happier. I use only 200 watts on that baby and it has paid itself back three-fold now because I live in Colorado. I paid 300 for the SF2000 at the time and let me tell you, that bastard can grow ANYTHING!!! (Because Colorado ;) ) I have passionfruit, mango tree saplings, and pumpkins growing in my bathroom now, along with some different micro-greens I change out every day. There is a current October sale going on at Spider Farmer ATM and it brings $40 off the current price, coming down to $489. I tried adding the MIGRO code, but because of the October code, it won't let us see how much the MIGRO code takes off the price. I hope this info helps you all.

I don't understand why they wouldn't send you the updated light with the better diode layout. Similar to the atrium. To my knowledge there isn't a review/par test on it anywhere I can find except for what the manufacturer provides. Seems to be a decent light so far. I just finished my first flower cycle under one and pretty good results. The SE models are even better looking and going to pick up a 7000 in the future. ✌️
@pursaveer90273 жыл бұрын
I have 2 SF-4000s. There are much better lights for the money, in my opinion. The light spread is poor, and the heat concentrates in a small area. A few pennies worth of additional aluminum to separate the boards would give better distribution. But, the aluminum is so thin it would flex more than it does now. And YES, it does bend, as others have noted. Those with a less keen eye may not notice it. The bending is not an issue for me. It actually improves the light distribution, if anything. The heat buildup in the middle area is considerable. I removed the drivers and mounted them perpendicular to the board. I then bought small USB-driven Xbox fans to gently blow on the drivers to keep them and the light cooler, which was very effective. I would never buy this type of light now that bar lights are available. I only use mine in veg now, turned down to 350 watts. Even so, the plants directly underneath the light are not as happy as others in the same area. I've used a lot of mid-priced lights in my new adventure as a wannabe grower. The SF-4000 is my least favorite light. Even 2 SF-2000s are better than one of these chunks of localized light and heat. Just one user's opinion, of course. Shane's chart demonstrates what I'm saying, I think.
@GeorgeWPush2 жыл бұрын
I'm jealous you are running bar lights as they are clearly the best. The newer version of this light has better light spread as the diodes are spread out in the middle and more dense towards the edges.

I've gotta tell you light rails or bars are so much more effective than the LED boards the boards have big hotspot in the middle. The Mars hydro SP 3000 is the best LE bowl you can get and then when you go into flour youAdd a second light. Also the LA D boards lose a lot of height and the ceiling cause a hangers take up a foot where the SP 3000 is 3"
