But all in all I like the mystery and the fact that it seems to be emotionally based. That and the fact that she's in a different dementional setting

@@k.tucker2011 Yeah that it is true. Her emotions trigger it which adds an interesting dynamic. I am going to guess that there is perhaps more that she can do as well. The lightning just might be stage 1 or something. Who knows.

I haven't fully kept up with Gwen, but what happened to her Symbiote Suit she used to have? I know she had lost her powers and relied on it to bring them out in the first place. But the costume here looks cloth. Guessing she got her powers back now?

I only really like new spider powers when they come at a cost of something else. Like how Miles got the Venom and Invisibility abilities, but his spider sense was stated to be far worse than Peter's. Having a character like Spider-Gwen, who already is a match for Peter, gain spontaneous new abilities feels bad. Why doesn't our favorite web head ever get new powers? Or even just be shown as more powerful overall despite lacking additional abilities? I'll take anything at this point...

Peter does have an additional power. He just hates to use it. It’s revealed in a comic he can transform into the man spider at will. But he doesn’t use it’s highly suggested it’s a last resort and he can’t change back. He uses it to kill and only to kill as a final move against that spider totem eating monster. Perhaps he could learn to control it more. But who wants to turn into a monstrous man eating spider?

Especially when Jessica Drew also had a Venom Blast before either of them too... I honestly preferred when Gwen relied on her symbiote suit to bring back her old powers that got taken away from her by her universe's Cindy Moon. Made her feel a little more original than the other Spider Heroes that don't rely on symbiote suits to get their powers out.

@@iwatommy9139 And that would be fair except Miles is very different from Peter in terms of what he can do. Gwen getting Miles' electric blast wouldn't have happened without Miles. It was a unique thing specific to the one spider character

Miles, Miguel, Hobie and even Takuya all share the same normal traits of Peter’s powers. Only difference is them adding more powers or just changing up some things. Pretty sure Jessica Drew also had that venom blast first but it’s whatever.

So uhhh... when's Peter getting his upgrade?...😅😂 Forget all the crazy bioelectric/energy stuff (unless he trains in chi but pls don't do that). Just make he a bit stronger, faster, enhance his spidersense ( probably able to weaknesses and manually control it to see into the near future) and Organic webbing. If any additional abilities give him the ability to produce various venoms and toxins from his body at will ( would probably need retractable talons then). Or at least let him make better use of his genius level IQ. With his mind he should have already well off and either used advance gadgets like ironman or figured out a way to enhance his spider powers, even do a controlled mutation in the direction he needs.

Peters had a decent amount of upgrades, he’s had the iron spider, hobgoblin suit, mark 4, the one that the golden goblin made for him, so he has a lot to work with.

@Blizzardholocron that's different. Those are externals like suits. They can be changed, destroyed, or discarded. Talking about permanent meaningful changes to his actual powers, even if they give him chi, or a deeper relationship to the spider totem, like they did in "the other." Or if they insist on going down the external rounte (like using tech), then let him embrace it 100% like superior spider-man. He could even use it to enhance his spider powers with mutation (like 2099). Fact is, writers intentionally keep Peter from reaching his full potential while using his icon to promote other spidermen. Like a company intentionally using and suppressing an old employee or artist.

In the Madam web movie, they said the spider venom can be weaponized in a bio electronic way. Spider-woman (Julia Carpenter) has Psionic web shooting in the form of electric. It’s kind of messed up that they gave the other spiders new abilities. Miles Morales has venom shocker, Spider-woman (Jessica Drew) has venom blast , spider-boy’s spider senses can see the future, now Gwen. Now, personally, if I can give Peter Parker a bio electric ability, it will have to be something plain looking like an ability boost, but that’s just me. The question is, will they do the same for Parker or will he be the same as he always been?

4:14 - Personally I would've hoped for Gwen to have a more abilities to match with her ghost namesake; Like intangibility, astral projection, some cold temperature ability, or something of that nature. That said I do like the Chameleon having mimicry based powers, he never felt as big of threat as he's potrayed to be in comics so I like the new update to his abilities.

Oh. Great. Now Gwen is an electrical super Saiyan who can perform Chidori like Sasuke Uchiha. I suppose next issue they'll give her Thor's hammer because she's someway worthy and they'll start calling her spider -Thor, or GwenThor. Seriously, you don't need to make your characters into op characters to make them interesting, usually it's quite the opposite, it's the way they challenge difficult situations that make them interesting. That's just lazy writing and even more stupid because it's a copycat of the uncool Miles's raikiri jedi lightning saber. Should we call them electro -spiders now?
