Spider John Koerner & Willie Murphy "Red Palace"

Hi I was just married to John Koerner in june 1968, age 20 years, and i moved from Copenhagen Denmark to the US. to wild times on Electa Records recording Studio, Feather Ranch, up North in California. Thats were "Running Jumping Standing Still" was recorded. I met John in Copenhagen when I was 16 years old! We split up in 1978, and have a wonderfull daughter now age 44😊

Lisbet Koerner I remember hearing about you in the Koerner Ray & Glover movie! He said he quit music forever in the early 70's and that only lasted a year. I always wondered why he did that?

I was there in the Summer..69?, my friend got a record from the group. He said they recorded in a big house on the Feather River just west of town..we loved the music

Lisbet, we were next door neighbors of John's on the West Bank and my mother met you. My brothers and mom watched your daughter on occasion when John needed a babysitter.

This is incredible, i did not know this music-movie even existed - I was there, upstate New York, when the movie was shot - and i found myself in the the movie - 21 years old in 1969 - Who had this old movie, and how come someone in Australia put it on You Tube - I thought it only existed in my memory - crazy day in 1969 Fantastic incident, Thanks

Lisbet Koerner WOw!.. from someone who always felt this is maybe, arguably, the best album from start to finish ever produced. I had NO idea, however that this video existed. By the way, the name? is it yours? what relation to Spider John are you?

I remember seeing this clip on Australian TV in 1970 on the ABC show GTK.

Yes ‘Red Palace’ was first screened on the Australian ABC-TV program ‘Hit Scene’ on 18 October 1969. Somebody must have liked the song - it was shown again at least three more times on ‘Hit Scene’ 1970-71, and several times on ‘GTK’ during the same period.

What an amazing music video that is! It captures lots of the spirit and free-wheeling vibe of the West Bank and the countryside, and the vivid and energized music of Spider John Koerner and Willie Murphy, still both legendary and active musicians In Minneapolis here in May 2017. Wow! That's history for you. I has been a privilege to know you even though our paths cross infrequently now. Running Jumping, Standing Still is a classic LP for the ages!

wild! This is/was new direction for "Spider" John Koerner ( earlier of Koerner, Ray, & Glover ), and I bought the LP when it was new. I just thought I couldn't keep up with it. Sometimes music/musicians will have such an effect. So much the better!

Lisbet, I knew Willie Murphy a bit more than John but might have known some of the folks from that video - do you know their names? John or Judy Beech?? Maurice Jacox, Gene Hoffman?? Voyle Harris? All horn players.
