On number 4: Once you uppercut someone into the air, let them fall and when they hit the ground use normal webbing to permanently stick them to the ground. I found this technique invaluable for large but spread out enemies.

Stuff like the fire escape animation is what makes this the best Spidey game ever. It must be easy to create a simple swinging system with some square buildings but the amount of care and polish and detail that went into having an answer for everything when you're moving around, that's what really makes me feel like spider-man.

In one of the interviews, they revealed the thought that went into this. The whole goal was smooth traversal, which is difficult when you have things like fire escapes in the way. It was even suggested at one point to not have fire escapes, but being New York, the devs felt like they had to keep them in. There was much discussion, and eventually, two mechanics were introduced: the zip lining up when actually on the fire escape and zip-through when wall running perpendicular. Just knowing that they could have just took an easy out, but instead poured energy into something as seemingly innocuous as fire escapes shows how much care went into making this.

If you want the platinum trophy, avoid wasting your tokens. Wait till post-story and spend them on upgrades, reload then buy all the outfits, for those two trophies. If you waste tokens, then earning more becomes really hard. It's the difference between only having to do the bare minimum on challenges instead of having to perfect them.

Aunt May dies in the end. Doctor Octupus is the main villain. Tombstone and Taskmaster are side villains. Silver sable is introduced but no boss battle with her. Miles gets bitten towards the end of the game. Symbiotes are teased for the next game. Green Goblin is not in it but heavily mentioned. Peter does not die in this game. MJ and Miles are stealth mission characters. Bosses in order of story are Kingpin, Shocker, Mr. Negative, Electro + Vulture, Rhino + Scorpion, Mr Negative again, Doc Ock.

From what I've seen, it seems that the suit powers retain their charge even if you swap them in the middle of a fight or mission. Which means you could theoretically use whatever suit power you want, swap for the one called "QUIPS" (since it recharges faster than any other one in the game), let it recharge, and then swap back to whatever suit power you want.

TIP : Everytime you engage in combat instantly throw your suit special out there, for example if you got the holo suit power mid fight enemys won't attack it. I found that 9times out of 10 you start with full bar on the suit power anyway and not using it is basicly wasting resources, and it seems to help a lot fighting bigger enemys or clearing out a robery quickly.

Pro tip if you have the throw upgrade (press square then triangle to throw a enemy) and you web up a thug brute type enemy you can then throw them to any surface nearby (that's not the floor) and they will just get automatically webbed to the surface taking them out as quickly as possible, there is even a special web shot that will bind enemies in one shot so if you use that and then throw a brute to a object and stick them quick and easy take down

I was really hyped when I bought this game and I played it nonstop, I had a ton of fun but I finished the story in like a couple days. I recommend playing a bunch of side missions and extra events like saving Howard’s pigeons, base missions, finding backs, etc, before going on through your main story to lengthen your playtime.

One thing I found incredibly usefull was to find combos between gadgets. It was the thing I used the most, I always did the same things. I would use the seismic blast kinda gadget to throw a bunch of guys to a wall and then a web bomb and all of them would get stuck in the walls. Gadgets are amazing in my opinion and make the game amazing

One thing I didn't notice until fairly late in the game is that you can get ranged enemies to take out other foes for you. If you position yourself between enemies with guns or rockets and other enemies, and then dodge out of the way right as they fire, the other guys take the hits and it might even be enough to take them out entirely. You have to pay a lot more attention to dodge cues, but leaving ranged enemies alone the first part of a fight can save you a lot of time.

Also a thing I learned to implement into my combat is when u grab objects by pressing L1&R1 the item u grab come towards u I have learned to some times line up my enemies and have basically pulled and item to me and letting go before I do the spin that way I hit the guy I lined it up with and when I’m fast enough I can time it with a dodge and jump over them as I do it it looks really cinematic lol

One thing to note: As much as a pain in the rear some side missions are and how useless some of the moves are: Get them early and practice them. There's one battle way later you REALLY need to have all the aerial moves and the side missions help with the battle. It's something I thought was a pain in the rear until I went into the fight. It was much easier with that knowledge.

Literally just Platinum'd this game. It's super fun through and through. My top tip would be to use Web bombs whenever you can. They serve as a great form of crowd control and help in so many fights, especially those with multiple brutes. Also, the Stark suit has a great suit power for fighting big groups as well. These two things have gotten me out of sticky situations more times than I can remember.

I did too at first. I died a lot lol. I stopped treating it like an Arkham game and starting hitting them up on the air, hitting them a lot then pressing triangle to web zip into people. Slider under shielded enemies, web up or knock up into the air the weapon blocking ones and web up and hit the big ones

Ah good way to deal with a lot of enemies, really quickly is by using the webshooters. Impact webs can send enemies flying to walls and sticking them there. If enemies are close to walls a couple of regular web balls with also stick them. If there are no walls nearby you can also just hold square to launch enemies to the sky, wait for them to land and web them to the floor. Spidy can and will stick enemies to everything. Walls, trash cans, trees, light post, etc. If it sticks out of the ground you can stick people to it. Another thing that is really helpful is on roof fight just throw them front the roof. Don't worry they will get webbed to the side of a building.

web up enemies and then use throws on them, use the concussive blast gadget, or swing kick to stick them to walls very easily, i like to air launch followed up with jumping with them, webbing them before they hit the ground, and then air throw them into the ground for a quick but practice required takedown

Wish I knew some of these tips when I started out, would have saved me a lot of deaths early on. Here's an add on tip for the web throw. When enemies throw grenades at you, you can web throw them back at the enemies so they get hit instead of you. This also works if you toss it at a baddie right next to you. Later on when you are up against more foes with rocket launchers, get the skill that let you grab a rocket in mid flight with your webs so you can toss it away from you. It will save you a lot of hassle and it just looks awesome.

Ez combos for a ez game on hard: Web the guy, jump and hold squar. The guy will get stuck to a wall and you can do the same to the next guys. Net web bomb followed by a electric wave also clears every enemy by sticking them to a wall.

1. Newspapers update regularly after major events in the game, reading them at newspaper dispensers displays an in game counter. 2. The social feed has some interesting Easter eggs and updates regularly after each major event so you can read it after each mission. 3. Save up your skill points because some skills require 3 points to buy and helps you manœuvre around better (point launch and zipping without losing altitude) 4. More side missions appear after clearing main story missions (Black cat, pigeon, research stations, taskmaster) so if you want to clear a sector in one sweep you should get some story progress. 5. Suit mods give you a lot of play styles. Customize them to help you fight to your style

dude I live in NY and I haven't gotten the game yet but when I saw you swinging at 6:57 which is where rock-a-feller is as well as the Nintendo store but when he made that turn and saw the Cathedral that just blew my mind because that is exactly where it is in NY and that's amazing and seeing Central park I just wonder if they have all the landmarks in Central park perfectly laid out. I just wish they didn't keep to just Manhattan I wish they branch out a bit to Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island I mean NY isn't just Manhattan it would be so cool to cross the Brooklyn bridge as spiderman.

U can web enemies to the ground too. Hold square to uppercut a guy, tap triangle a few times, then hold triangle to web them to the ground. Once u master it, it really helps.

Challenging Combat basically snuff the "Arkham clone" statements LoL no mashing a counter button here you actually have to have some skill and tactics LoL

Really the only thing that I would call "An Arkham clone" is the combo count (and possibly the stealth takedowns)

@@sosman747 well for quick learners. Spectacular is fine. trial and error, you cant get worse. Every fight feels like 100% and as i progress the harder bosses it becomes a good challenge.

Loving the game. I'm still button mashing too much in combat but the web zip move helps to keep things moving. Also, some side quests are silly but it's a minor gripe. Here's hoping for more content beyond the 3 DLC packs.

When tracking down collectibles or just wanting to land in the right spot, holding L2 will slow down time and with R2 you can web zip to almost any surface.

Early in the game i started collecting alot of tokens like Challenge tokes, Research tokens, Landmark points, backpacks etc.. Because when you have to upgrade your gear, you'll need all the points that you can get and it kinda sucks being the right level, but can't upgrade because u didn't take som photo of a building. So get a lot of tokens early on, so that you won't suddenly be in a situation where you can't upgrade because you didn't do something very simple.

Here is a good one if you want another suit just collect the bags from all over the city. It doesn' take as much time as it sound because its only 55 bags and everyone of them is on the map. Plus its awesome to swing throuth the city.
