I love what this game did with Black Suit Spider-Man. It combines all the classic abilities from the comics. From the classic 1980s design to increased strength and powers, to changing clothes with a thought, to heightened aggression. On top of that, they added some creepy horror elements to it when the Symbiote starts to take control of Peter's body. Like when Peter says "Destroy us?" in Doc Connor's lab, to thrashing a Kraven goon on the hood of an armored vehicle with a roar at 5:20:27, to chasing MJ through a darkened tunnel.

I like how the symbiote is portrayed on Peter. He couldn’t take control of his emotions and was struggling against the symbiote mentally and physically. He began to fight like a berserker, which I believe was why he failed to reach MJ and failed to defeat Miles. Also, Peter’s such a badass (especially when he’s trying to break out of the trap), and Yuri’s voice acting is literally a 10/10 (when he screams in agony from the irritating sounds in the game, it’s bone-chilling)

Okay, thinking about the plot a little more, the message to the story is actually quite deep and Miles' journey intertwines with Peters in a way I didn't catch at first. The story shows that even the best people have a dark side, and the symbiote enhances that dark side to the max. Each character was putting on a smile and a good act, but deep down, they had demons to deal with. So each character had to face this; Miles had to move on from his hatred, MJ had to prioritize her family over her career, Li had to right his wrongs. For most of them, it was the symbiote that brought all of their "inner demons" out, made them to see their ugly side, forced them to recognize their issue for what it is, and rid themselves of it, becoming not just better from the outside perspective, but on the inside too. That's pretty deep. Everybody in the real world has inner struggles we hide from others, no matter how small, but given the right circumstances, we all have an ugly side. So it's important to deal with those inner conflicts before they build up and get the best of us. Pretty inspiring message.

Okay, for someone who has a ps4 and not ps5, I've been late to this party, but all I've heard from this game was that the plot was "alright at best" or "mediocre"... but I have to say, after watching this... they totally nailed it. This was extremely well written, impactful and a faithful continuation of the story in the best way possible. Not a drop in quality storytelling in the slightest. Seeing Peter's retirement, and Miles taking on the mantle was the best scene IMO. It was written and paced perfectly. The only small tweak I would have made is for Peter to not have gotten the anti-venom suit, but instead kept his old suit, because I feel like the whole point is that he doesn't need the symbiote powers to be a better Spider-man; that he's good as he always was... but I get why they included it for the gameplay mechanics side of things.

Gigachad insomniac and spiderverse do a better job at handling peter getting his priorities straight better than the comics where the poor dude can never catch a break and miles and his development in this game has been great definitely feel like he's up there with his more popular movie version now

harry's pre venom suit (like agent venom) is really sick i am glad they got that style suit in this game the only thing i am upset about is it seems its not a freeroam suit cause i would ROCK that suit if i had the console and game

Absolutely incredible game. This game felt so Peter focused but had indirectly focused on Miles ascension and stepping up. GOTY for sure and Goated Superhero game ever made.

Let me make one thing clear, I absolutely love everything I've seen this game, and I'll be in line for when it drops on PC. I just have to say, I'm a bit scared at just how many villains they've lost access to for the sequels. Tinkerer, Scorpion, Shocker, Vulture, Electro, Kraven and Venom/Agent Venom are dead. Black Cat, Silver Sable, Prowler, Mister Negative, Tombstone, Mysterio and Lizard are redeemed and (with the exception of Black Cat and Prowler, who'll probably be back) seemingly gone. Doctor Octopus, Hammerhead and Kingpin are out of commission. Between this game and a search on Wikipedia, the only main villains they still have left in this series are Sandman, Carnage, Chameleon and Rhino (nuff said on that last one). Like I said, I will not hesitate to buy this game when it graces Steam with it's presence, but again, I'm just worried at what they'll do with the limited amount of villains they have left, there are still plenty from the comics to choose from, but most of them are literally classed as "Foes of lesser renown", nearly all of the A-listers are they ones I've mentioned.
