Great video, I think spiderman 2 might still have been my goty but even then I think it doesn’t compare to the first, there’s some great QoL and and gameplay improvements but especially in terms of story and writing I still consider the first by far the best

@@CommandPromptGaming it definitely does, both in terms of the story feeling like it needs to be ironed out more and amount of bugs. I had a lot of the same bugs you did like crashes and having to restart cause intractables weren’t working, two of the weirder glitches I had though were getting stuck on one of the sand man side missions cause it wouldn’t let me crack the crystal and after the Mr negative boss fight, the cutscene played for about 15 seconds then faded to black and restarted

I agreed with everything you’ve said. Playing as Venom was so unnecessary, the amount of time and resources could’ve went into Peters moveset, costumes, etc. I couldn’t even play NG+ just because of how underwhelming this game was.

I didn't like the whole Harry plot line honestly. It could be handled a lot better. Doesn't have any impact in my opinion.

For real. They _almost_ had something with him when Peter was the cause of his getting sick again. But essentially making Venom take over for the remainder of the game makes it feel like he doesn't get any real closure, therefore none of the other characters get closure from him as well.

@@CommandPromptGaming honestly Kraven could be a great Venom. Supreme Predator. Would also explain why he is so huge. The fight we got is great by itself, but the story falls flat after that.

I despise modern games trying to emulate Dark Souls bosses. Because NO ONE does it properly. Its all awful, broken mechanics, bosses just slide across the map to force hit you. All hits kill you in one tap. Forcing you out of using everything you have in your arsenal to close up face to face parry system. God of War did it terribly. Ghosts of Tsushima did it terribly. Spiderman now on the list. EVEN RATCHET AND CLANK had final bosses that had no warning attacks that gave you a tenth of a second to parry. Its not good. You arent FromSoft. Stop trying to make everything a Dark Souls fight.

Yeah, for the most part. It's not God awful. It just needs to be balanced for the combat system they have. It feels like you're only using a 1/3 of the things the game gives you in these fights. I wanna fight someone while swinging, ya know?

@@CommandPromptGaming exactly. Its so jarring how they cut out the full flexibility you have in every smaller encounter in fight. Just to force you into a completely new system that, again, is not optimized to fit in the game.

Jedi survivor negating your force powers in the final round of bossfights like Bode and Dagan forcing you to head to head with the basic, dodge, block parries and strikes while everything else was made redundant.
