I just love the feeling the game gave you when you’re playing as Venom. The PS5s controller actually felt heavy when he would stomp around making you feel enormous and such a bad ass. I honestly believe insomniac has cracked the “successful code” on how to make these hero games gameplay play wise.

I think they handed the idea of Hairy as Venom very well compared to Ultimate Spider-Man’s take on it. Ultimate’s direction felt embarrassingly bad where it almost felt like they where intentionally making him look bad. Here on the other hand, they make Venom look like an actual villain and threat to Spiders-Man and the world where it culminates with a direct reference to Web of Shadows.

Honestly it shows just how different things could have been had someone not like Eddie had venom first. Eddie didn't care about anything but killing peter. So Venom didn't really have a cause to make other symbiotes. Here we see him prepare an entire hive in the game because his views are different than just kill peter. That made him much more dangerous than BROK's Venom this early because of his views.

Yes I agree, I really enjoy how the first game showed us Norman’s incredibly arrogant personality while hinting at having deeper motives such as saving his son after losing his wife and the second game we see him be a very concerned father doing everything in his power to save Harry along with begging Spider-Man to save his boy when technically that boy threw him out a window. He feels like a really complicated and human character and a worthy final big bad of this saga.

Harry is brain dead and that particular Symbiote was mostly destroyed and turned into anti venom for Spider-Man’s new abilities moving forward in Peter’s third game but Eddie Brock still exists in this universe, There are other Symbiotes and insomniac is teasing a playable Venom spin off game. So the most logical choice is to do a game based on the lethal protector storyline with Eddie Brock’s Venom.
