The scene where people on the bridge start fighting back toward Green Goblin included the lines - "You mess with Spidey, you mess with New York." "You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us." This was poignant to those of us in the New York City area as this movie opened only eight months after the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center. It received loud cheers from the theater audience.

@@dindoyop7478 Peter from the comics almost never mentions Uncle Ben again after his death, in fact he's only brought up by name like 30 issues later, only in passing to remind people of Spiderman's origin. In that sense it's very accurate to the comics.

I loved the Tobey Maguire trilogy so much, I grew up watching it and love them all - even if so many people hate the third installment, still love it. And proud of it! Don't get me wrong Tom Holland did great in the newer movies, and he did good getting the quirkier and sweeter side of Peter Parker. But what I love about this trilogy is that it's more emotional, I feel. You get to actually go through Peter being normal to getting bit to getting his powers to losing his uncle to becoming Spider-Man. You even get to see him trying to figure out his life and balance the normal life with the hero life. Plus, these were movies my dad and I constantly watched together. It was how we bonded, and we even love the song "Hero" by Nickelback ft. Josey Scott - something I recommend listening to. Now my dad passed not too long ago and I felt the need to watch these movies again. Again, nothing against Tom, I love him like anyone else, but Tobey will always have a special place in my heart and I'm grateful to him for helping create them.

Spiderman is one of the greatest superhero movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, action sequences, motivational, powerful, and inspirational life messages. Tobey Maguire did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying SpiderMan/ Peter Parker as he put tons of emotion and depth into his role. It absolutely and reintroduced and revitalized the superhero genre. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps 😱😰 as it was just a perfect, epic, and satisfying way to end the movie as it gives a true message to find your identity and individuality and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯

I can tell you who are the OG's. (1977) Spider-Man was a made for tv superhero film that had a theatrical release outside the US. Which serves as the Pilot to the 1978 tv series titled The Amazing Spider-Man. It was directed by E.W. Swackhammer, written by Alvin Boretz & stars Nicholas Hammond as Spider-Man.

7:20 I had my first glasses back when I was in 8th grade, but when I was in 9th grade I accidentally broke them, I brought a second pair back when I was 14 and had those glasses for 6 years. Then after that I brought 2 pairs just in case. Maybe one day I might switch over to contacts I'm not sure

In the comics, in this and also in the Andrew Garfield one, it's almost always him who makes his first suit. But in the MCU one (ugh) it's Tony Stark who designs It for him. I feel like they kinda replaced Uncle Ben for Tony Stark.

Actually this isn't the first spiderman movie, I remember from my childhood that there was a trilogy that started in 1977 titled "Spider-Man" then sequels in 1978 "Spider-Man Strikes Back" and 1981 "Spider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge", somewhat dated now but fun at the time.

Those are good, too...but I always felt Peter came off as too 'cool.' I did like that they focused a bit more on his knowledge of science.

@@jean-paulaudette9246 I don’t understand the term “too cool”. They just tried to portray “nerds” in modern day now. Most teenage boys now skateboard and have a social life just how Andrew Garfield was portrayed. Now I can believe this is what the stereotypical “nerd” was back then. Times have changed and even Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is way too “cool”. But hey they have to connect to society now somehow.

@@nano-qs6ry let’s be real this trilogy and the 2 amazing Spider-Man movies are real and good depictions of spider-man. Tom Holland isn’t even really spider-man and I know that’s because he’s a small piece of the puzzle in the entire mcu and the other spider-man movies were there for themselves but still that’s why the only version of spiderman I don’t like is tom holland

Yeah back in my 2000s childhood, I didn’t watch a lot of movies unless I went to the movies with my family. I had Disney channel, noggin, and Disney XD 😂

I remember back in the 70’s the story was that he was bitten by a radioactive spider. I always liked that they updated it in this movie for the more modern decades science boogey man and made it genetic engineering. 😎🕷

It's interesting how Sam Raimi has let some of his horror roots show in this movie ,I mean he does have a lot of experience in the horror genre so it makes sense why he would add some of his horror movie talent into this franchise 🤔

Love your video young buck! But as an OG, there’s actually been six live action Spider-Man but that’s going all way back to the 70s. There was the electric company guy who didn’t speak at all, talked only with air balloons. Then there’s the one that I still say deserves to be acknowledged and that’s Nicholas Hammond from the 1977 through 1979 television series. Then there’s the guy from Japan. As modern Spider-Man go, I do agree with you. I like Toby the best.

The cafeteria tray scene isn't CGI Tobey did that and it took 155 takes. That's why he's my Spider-Man, among other reasons.
@xonrob9575
@xonrob9575 2 жыл бұрын
No offense but that is such a stupid reason. If the other Spider-Man replicated that scene with practical effects and did it in less takes but still used large amounts of CGI for the rest of the movie, would they now be your favorite Spider-Man?
