I remember playing this game on my motorola v360. Beating sandman was particularly difficult, I remember beating him with a different method than you tho. You had to wait for him to attack you while near the water towers and dodge. And then the water would spill out and damage him. If fact it was so difficult I couldn't do it and it took me days to figure out the trick with the water towers.
