OG Spiderman trilogy has so much more emotional depth and serious scenes like this that none of the new Spiderman films were able to capture in the same mature way. Yes, there are some campy moments, but at least it was balanced out with scenes that actually feel like real human beings dealing with serious and believable issues

Uh you didn't watch the TASM films? They have flaws but Marc Webb was successful in capturing emotional depth and establishing character relationships in those movies. Yes the villains weren't as humanized as in the Raimi films(actually Webb did try to do that in both of his films too but Sony and Arad ruined it) but the rest of the characters worked. I am pretty sure Gwen's death still hits the hardest
@HandintheBoxInc2 жыл бұрын
@@geekerman8658 I agree with everything you just said, I meant mostly the Tom Holland ones but then I saw No Way Home and that is exactly what I was looking for. I agree Andrew's films had more heart and some decent moments but not as masterfully well-balanced and crafted to me as Rami's mostly because like you mentioned---the villains in Andrew's movies weren't as fleshed out, not even close to Rami's. That's actually the one reason I don't like Andrew's movies as much--the villains are very boring and predictably cliche in almost every way

This combined with Flint Marko revealing the real truth of why he killed Uncle Ben. Even though spiderman 3 wasn't supposed to be the last one in the series, it still ends really well and I'm fine with that.
@ryanstauffer11910 ай бұрын
Agreed. They did have a feeling the movie wasn't going to do well when it came out, so they did the best they could to add stuff that would be worthy of a finale... - Peter finding out more to Uncle Ben's death and coming to forgiving Sandman. - Harry discovering Peter didn't kill his father and he dies saving his best friend. - Peter and MJ learning how to manage their relationship. Originally, after we see Peter and MJ dance together, we were supposed to see Spider-Man swinging through the city as the final shot. But they made the right decision removing it. Harry's death, his funeral, and Peter and MJ dancing together embraced was so emotional that an incredible swinging shot would feel out of placed. Peter and MJ dancing together was the perfect bow to wrap up the trilogy. Even if Tobey didn't show up in NWH, we could tell in that final shot they were going to be okay.

I don't care what anyone says, this movie will always be my personal favorite out of the trilogy, just the tone of the movie itself, the cilmatic end to Harry's story arc, the redemption Peter finally got after hearing Flint/Sandman's confession about what happened to Uncle Ben Parker, and just the music that just added to the movie itself, god it's so amazing... I listen to this track everyday still given how beautiful and melancholic, and just after watching No Way Home, seeing Tobey finally return same with Garfield, now I hope one day that Spider-Man 4 will be a thing and that Andrew finally get his well deserved third sequel as well.
