In the post credits scene of Venom 2, the symbiote recognized Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Eddie Brock didn't know what it was talking about. The symbiote seems to be aware of other multi-verses but I'm not sure why Spider-Man is significant to it.

I've been saying this for a while since these venom movies have come out. It needs to be venom vs. Spider-Man. I think in Venom 3, it should be Venom vs. Spider-Man in Venom 3, but it's either with Tom's Spider-Man thru multi verse, or it's with the Spider-Man in that universe. I don’t like the multiverse aspect of Spider-Man. I grew up knowing Spider-Man for his ground level escapades, not for seeing 100 types of different Spider-Man’s on the same screen. I understand the across the spider verse movies are successful and henceforth they’d want to replicate that success by keeping the same multiverse concept, but I just want to see a ground level more realistic-ish type of Spider-Man movie. I want to move past the multiverse part of it all.

I think all this focus on Tobey n Andrew potentially having more stories is a waste of speculation. Tom is Spider-Man in the mcu, the other 2 made a cameo for fun. They are not mainstays and any news regarding their world and coming back is just fan nonsense. Maybe they show up in secret wars, I can see that. But outside of that I am willing to bet they don’t come back. It would take away focus from Tom who is Spider-Man right now.

Sony just needs to cut loose their grip on Spider-Man and let Marvel take the reins. Do Spider-Man 4 with Tobey. Do TASM3 with Andrew. Both of those stories, if done right - incorporating the elements from No Way Home and filling in the 20 year gap for Tobey and 10 year gap for Andrew would both be amazing and make Sony a TON of money. Already sounds like Raimi would do Tobey's 4th movie, and someone like Christopher Nolan would be perfect for Andrew's 3rd movie (I really want to see the Spider-Man who stopped pulling his punches.) A darker Andrew movie with a full redemption arc by the end would be epic.
