Spider-Verse came out as an insane outlier and completely moved the goalpost for what's considered great animation in movies. I remember watching this movie and seeing Miles talk to Stan Lee, asking if he could return the costume if it doesn’t fit, but as Stan himself said “it always fits eventually”. That is what these heroes and especially spider-man are suppose to represent that anyone can be a hero regardless of who you are or we’re you came from. If you are standing up for what you know is right not just for yourself but for others, that is what makes someone a true hero. Thank you Stan Lee for the decades of stories and the characters that show who we can become and who we desire to be someday.

This movie was the most visually stunning cinema of the last 5 years. Maybe even longer. The fact that is had loveable characters, well written dialogue, and a superhero story that didn't feel like a rehash of the same tired tropes? That was all just gravy. If this sequel manages to bring it visually again, and still work in even a fraction of the same charm, it'll be a huge success.

1:54 The first movie version of this theme sounds cool and perfectly structured, tightly woven with the hip hop element, where miles is in his home dimension; whereas here everything is turned up to 11. They have deliberately made us immediately associate it with the first theme and then walk us step by step, SHOWING how things are different now. It feels like that perfect structure is unravelling all over the place with too many additional layers added and its all overwhelming in so many different ways, which is exactly what is happening in the movie. God I love everything about this movie

Into the Spiderverse inspired the animation industry to experiment more instead of chasing tehnically advanced graphical fidelity like Pixar and Disney, on top of being the best Spidey animated film ever. I just want to thank each and every person who has worked and working for the movie. I understand how hard you might've been working but many of them are underappreciated. Every person - right from the director, film maker to the people who work as servers, Janitors, sweepers and other background workers deserve appreciation. I just came back from seeing this movie and i’m absolutely astonished, this is one of the best superheroes movies (AGAIN) and maybe the best spider-man movie, is incredible they managed not to only make a movie as good as into the spider-verse but better, not only in story, message but also animation. Nah. It will be serviceable at best. Top films of 2023 will be those without woke garbage. Films just wanna tell a good story first and foremost. Dune chapter 2, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning, Oppenheimer, and John Wick Chapter 4. Other than that, everything else looks whatever. Miles Morales is just a tokenized Peter Parker. The guy has legit the same powers as him but with a different skin tone. I am sick of all this tokenization as a POC. Give us an original character for once.

There's everyone in this film. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. It was nice to see so many versions of Spider-Man. Spider-Man 2099 looks absolutely savage. I cannot describe how hyped up I am. This feels like what a Spider-verse film should be.

From what it looks like, Spiderman 2099 might be an antagonist. Pictures of his family, him crunching his fists, Gwen probably telling him "we are supposed to be the good guys" and him replying "we are" and him then fighting miles. It looks like he's probably lost his family and he's trying to get them back same like the kingpin. But idk my theory could be far fetched

I like how this style of animation gives ways to Spider-Man's of varying shapes and builds. I'm used to seeing them all with standard physiques, it's kind of refreshing to see them with more bulky appearances as well.

I said this about the first one, that you can freeze frame any part of the movie and it looks like a comic illustration. They cared about the silhouettes of each frame. The low frame rate obviously helps with that too. But dang it's beautiful.
