Maybe for a similar reason why Batman and Catwoman have seldom anything more substantial than an on-off romance: Fundamental differences in approaching life. Seeing how they talk about their past relationship in this game, how Felicia tried to change and actually succeeded in that for some time but ultimately came to the conclusion that this wasn’t truly her, makes one think if this sort of romance is even healthy for either party.
