I love this whole sequence because it dhows how inexperienced and full of tunnel vision Peter is. I'm not sure if anybody has made this known, but if not, then I would like to underline just how impressive Peter holding the entire Ferry together truly is. The Staten Island Ferry that Peter held together for several seconds or so is called the Spirit of America (it's name is also displayed around the 4:00 mark), a real-life Ferry one can ride between Staten Island and Manhatten, and according to George G. Sharp, Inc., the company that designed said Ferry, it weighs 3,200 tons. Peter managed to hold together 1,600 tons of metal with each hand! That's f*cking insane. He had some help from the webs that were still attached to each half, but still impressive. I learned this from the Imaginary Axis's "How strong is Spider-Man?" video starting at the 8:18 mark.

I just realized we can deduce how tony managed to be there. He just got back from India and was en route back to the avengers compound. When he heard the boat horn, he tried to locate peter's suit (which didn't work obviously or at least he was calling peter to discuss why the tracker wasn't working), he then had Friday figure out what the sound was, and when things got really bad he went directly to new york city.

I grew up on Tobey’s movies and I’ve been a Spider-Man fan since 2008 and watched all the movies and cartoons, read some comic books here and there and played the video games and with all of that I know that Tom is the most accurate Peter Parker and Spider-Man. He’s witty, he’s charismatic, he’s enthusiastic, he’s awkward, he’s shy, and he’s funny that’s what Peter Parker/Spider-Man is supposed be and Tobey and Andrew lack that. I’m not going to be bias on nostalgia and say Tobey’s the best because he’s not! And Andrew is definitely not the best, he wasn’t Awkward or shy he acted cool, he rode a skateboard in the hallways and definitely was not a nerd. But Andrew was a decent Spider-Man he was definitely funny but that doesn’t make up for his Peter. Tobey was a good Peter Parker by being awkward and shy but he wasn’t a good Spider-Man because he was too serious and would rarely make jokes. Tom is GREAT at both Tom is awkward and shy and gets nervous about small things like in Homecoming how he acted around Liz, he was dork by getting excited for building legos with Ned and hanging out with the Avengers. Tom acts the most youngest out of the 3 like Peter Parker should. His Spider-Man is the BEST OF ALL TIME (along with PS4 and Spectacular Spider-Man) because he was the most friendly neighborhood Spider-Man out of the 3, he helped old lady with directions, he saved a cat from a fire, he fought ATM robbers, he stopped someone from stealing a bike, he tried to stop a car thief, he fought thugs, he tried his best to save innocent peoples lives on the fiery. After all Stan the man Lee who created the character himself said Tom’s the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker and his personal favorite.

Now that this trilogy is complete I’m satisfied with this scene and how it played out. However it would have been really cool if he was honest with tony , and took on vulture and shocker for a little while. To the point where he gets overwhelmed, and tony arrives on time. Then vulture and shocker would have left by destroying the ferry. Pete would have 98% saved everyone but iron man had to help him still. Then Peter would have stressed about not being able to be good enough. And be hard on himself. Maybe tony would kind of advise him he can’t be perfect and save everyone

idk it messes too much with the main point of the movie which is that peter has to realize that he shouldnt take vulture down bc he wants to be an avenger but instead bc he genuinely wants to protect people. he wants to become a hero for the wrong reasons and taking away his suit makes him fully acknowledge that (and emphasize his willpower to do the right thing)

This scene reminds of The Amazing Spider-man issue #27 when Spider-man fights a bunch of criminals at a dock and fights the Green Goblin, this scene also reminds me of The Amazing Spider-man issue #11 when Spider-man puts a tracker on Betty Brant and Doc Ock and it leads him to a boat where he fights Doc Ock and then they end up crashing the boat and destroying it like similar to how Spider-man and Vulture fought and destroyed the ferry.

Tom’s the most accurate Spider-Man/ Peter Parker he’s more of a Spider-Man/ Peter Parker than Tobey and Andrew ever was. Tom’s Spider-Man was actually a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, he fought off ATM robbers, he saved a cat from a fire, he save Mr.Delmar from a fire, he stopped someone stealing a bike, he tried his best to save everyone on the ferry, he fought the Vulture and both shockers for stealing and selling illegal weapons, he fought thugs in far from home extended cut, he saved his friends a bunch of times, first he saved his friends in Washington, then he saved Ned and Betty on the Ferris wheel, then he saved his friends again from Mysterio at the end of Far from home, then in No way home he saved his friends once again from the lizard, sandman and electro. Not only he did all that but he saved Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity war when Cull Obsidian was about to hit Iron Man with his hammer but then Tom’s Spider-Man came in to save Tony. AND TOMS SPIDER-MAN ALSO HELP SAVE HALF OF LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!!! Not only Tom is a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man but he is also the most accurate interpretation of Peter Parker. He’s just a kid from queens, when he first appeared in civil war Peter was just 14 and already was able to create web shooters, the web fluid and was able to make his lenses move on his mask which Tobey and Andrew did not do. Tom’s by far the most smartest by making his web fluid and creating cures for the villains in NWH. Tom’s Peter was also on the academic decathlon team and he was the most smartest one out of all the students and he barely even attended do to being Spider-Man. Before anyone says Tom is an Iron boy jr, Tom’s Peter never wanted help from Tony Stark . In civil war he said he doesn’t want to go to Germany and has homework but he was forced into going by a billionaire, he never asked for any suits he just got them handed to him. He even told Ned how he is sick of being treated like a kid by Tony Stark, then when Karen tells Peter that he has all these different web combinations he tells her to go back to the normal one, intending he never liked how it has all these different features. He even says “Mr. Stark really went overboard.” Then in infinity war he got rid of the A.I and went back to how the suit was originally. Then in Far from home Happy tells Peter that he’ll never be Iron Man and Peter knows that he’ll never be Iron Man because he’s Spider Man. In No way home he loses Aunt May and before she dies she gives the iconic quote “With great power there must also come great responsibility.” After that he creates the greatest Spider-Man suit of all time and swings in New York City. Tom has been Spider-Man since Civil war but he was just a kid learning how to become the true Spider-Man. His first trilogy was actually his origin story as a teen in Highschool living a double life as a superhero and now his next trilogy will be Peter in his early adult years going to college and rebuilding his life. Tom is the true Spider-Man/Peter Parker and one day everyone will know Tom is and has always been the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker.

Lose everyone he loved and started from scratch. He became spiderman and matured up knowing he can't have or save everything. So calling him iron boy Jr is weird since yk he doesn't have Tony nor does he use his help anymore. He was iron boy Jr when he had his iron spider suit and all the stark tech. He wasn't spiderman because he never faced the loss and rage. So I think your speaking about homecoming peter. Not nwh spiderman.
