See this, THIS could have worked. aside from comic fans; most were introduced to the SPiderverse through the movies. So this could work. I'm not big on multiplayers but this could have been fun.

Let me play as my own Spiderman with customizations of gear/color. Different fighting styles. You can enter other people’s spider city and you can let them customize certain aspects of it like buildings, crowds, etc. as the story completion progresses. To set the worlds apart also let people set a default camera filter’ and time of day.

fun fact: when there was the leak spider-man 2 would have multiplayer this is what a insider was hinting at then later for it to be shut down "no, spider-man 2 will not have multiplayer" was after sony shut down the idea my thing is I think this was meant to be a DLC to spider-man 2 and since sony rushed them and dropped so much content they said F the game and let it die

@CoreyStewartWow I'm saying if companies keep giving half baked games than its time to stop buying from them for a bit and let them know we won't, apparently the game isn't in progress due to the company seeing fans leak trailers that wasn't supposed to be seen yet , that's complete rubbish and I hope it is rubbish even though apparently gta 4 remastered was scrapped due to fans leaking gta 6 I believe which is bullshit , that Game would be awesome on ps5 but still I believe we will get this game but games need to stop coming half baked like missing a bunch of side missions that feel like main quest and than side missions that lead you to somewheres else interesting and little side missions in general ,to me side missions is what makes the game , you can have a huge main story but side missions is what keeps the Game going even repetitive side missions with somewhat different flairs to it but that part only works with better side missions that feel like quest and others that just lead you to different aspects of the game, alot of games now can possess great functionality but miss out on a bunch of other aspects like side quest and insomniac's spiderman definitely misses out on that aspect, this game in particular needs more side quest that are grand and not subpar
