I am glad that despite knowing the biggest thing about this movie before watching it, I still had a HUGE surprise for this first time watching experience because I had no clue about any of the villains being in this. And THAT is why I don't watch movie trailers! 😉 (I have watched the No Way Home trailers and appreciate how they drummed up hype for this movie.) Thank you so much for watching with me, I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoyed it! I just finished my Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul journey on Patreon and that will be coming to KZbin eventually... starting later this year. 🥳 Daredevil is part of my Marvel TV journey happening on Patreon too and perhaps one day I will edit the Daredevil reactions for KZbin. I always get asked what I've reacted to, please feel free to look at my website for complete lists of YT and Patreon reactions combined: kaiielle.com And please make sure to get your suggestions in for reactions here: forms.gle/XZVvZhfhwFzsDpRU9 ❤

It’s totally unforgivable that after all this time you STILL don’t know how to pronounce Kevin FEIGE’s last name!! It’s two syllables…FY-GEE…(with a hard “g”) lol. I know you seemingly do not watch trailers…but, there are no longer gonna be any excuses considering that the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer (which exploded online last month) features his name being prominently spoken at the end by Deadpool. You no longer have an excuse! 😂
@kaiielle5 ай бұрын
@@equusfemina1 Why is it unforgivable? If someone pronounces a word or a name wrong, it means they've only ever read the word/name and have never heard it being said. This is the first time that I've said his name out loud in a reaction video, so this is the first time that I have been corrected (I've received a few comments on this video that were made prior to yours). Now that I know it's fy-gee, that is what I will say. And yeah, I do not watch movie trailers for movies that I know I will be reacting to for the channel. I know the D&W trailer was a big deal, but I did not watch it.

I dreaded this movie more and more with every trailer and every crossover multiverse bit that was revealed. They did everything I was afraid they would do (and more, I didn’t know about Tobey and Andrew) but it all just WORKED! Every reveal, every character development made me happier than almost any other movie I had seen in years. (Even the sad stuff, because it was done so well.) I laughed, I cheered, I cried. About a dozen major characters, half of them from franchises long retired, and this movie did justice to EVERY SINGLE ONE!

I love how Doc Ock immediately wants to help as soon as his new chip works. It reminds you how he and so many of Spider-Man's villains were genuinely good, well-meaning people before the incidents that transformed them. Also, Willem Dafoe was 66 and doing most of his own stunt work in the fight scenes. He literally insisted upon doing as much of it as possible when he agreed to come back as Osborn. Tobey's Peter having organic web shooters is almost entirely exclusive to his Spider-Man. In almost every other version in every other medium, Spider-Man's webs are mechanical. It was a change they made for the first Tobey Maguire movie because they felt that it would be too tough to explain how this high school kid could build things like mechanical web shooters. So they opted to make his web shooters one of his superpowers as a matter of narrative convenience.

it's always surprised me when creatives decide people won't buy something. They did later with spiderman, they didn't think magic would work in the movies originally, but it does. They thought classic x-men outfits were dumb until deadpool proved maybe it's a good idea to have iconic recognizable outfits. I don't think there really is a "this won't work in the movie:" it's just people too lazy or lacking vision to make it work. I also find it weird when someone says "it's not realistic so it wouldn't work" in a movie where a guy gets bitten by a spider and develops spider based powers and swings around new york fighting other powered people.

When Aunt May died that hit everyone hard and you heard a lot of "oh come on". Of course a lot of cheers for Willem Defoe and all the villians coming back. More people were sad at Doctor Strange having to make everyone forget Peter. Especially after he said, "Everyone who knows and loves you we'd...we'd have no memory of you". He was letting him know he didn't want lose him. Plus, he had to make another very hard choice to do it just after making the choice to let things play out in Endgame, knowing what would happen to Tony. I will say that this was probably the best since Endgame at that time but not as good as Endgame. That's hard to top. Great reaction!

Thanks so much for enjoying this movie, Kaiielle! Due to living in Japan, I had to see this in theaters several weeks after its release in North America. Thankfully, nothing was spoiled for me beforehand (apart from what I saw in trailers) and it was a great experience. Between the reserved nature of Japanese audiences, and the fact I couldn't go on opening weekend, there weren't any huge reactions among my fellow viewers. However, my own love for the Spider-Man franchise was more than enough for me, and I deeply appreciated this love letter to all the fans. One memo: During the first fight against Electro, Spidey isn't wearing a new costume. Because he couldn't wash out the stain after having paint thrown on him, he just decided to turn that costume inside-out. After May was able to get the stains out, he switched it back to normal.

It's not going to happen because of the Tom Holland/Zendaya of it all, but they left it at a perfect place to basically enter college sort of fresh and you can bring in characters like Harry Osborn or Gwen Stacy or Felicia Hardy. Also fun fact: Charlie and Andrew were roommates once upon a time and are still friends. They spoke during the making of this film, but didn't say anything to one another because of the secrecy of it all. So imagine their surprise when they watch the final cut and see that their buddy was in it and they sorta lied to each other. Also, they lived with Robert Pattinson, which means at one point in time Spider-Man, Daredevil and Batman shared a place together.

The unmasking of Peter 3 was a gigantic scream in the theater, and Toby was just as big, if not more. It was definitely a wild experience. Everyone had their suspicions that all 3 spidermen would be in it, because in a trailer they left in a half second of when the lizard gets kicked in the face, but they CGI'd out the extra spidermen, so it was just the lizard getting kicked by someone invisible. For me and a lot of people I can assume, who were on the internet a lot leading up to the movies release, even if you weren't looking for news about the movie, the other Spider Man's being in No Way Home was kinda the worst kept secret in superhero movie history. That shot (36:07) of Andrew was leaked many months prior to release, though he tried his hardest to convince everyone that the image was fake, and pretty much deny that he was in the movie in every interview he had or talk show he was on. Toby and Andrew being in the movie was pretty much theorized to death, especially once we knew Alfred Molina's Doc Ock was in the movie after the first trailer. And there was an incredibly dumb leak a month or so before the release that revealed both Toby and Andrew, as well as Charlie Cox. Didn't hinder how awesome seeing all 3 together in the movie was, though.

I loved this movie so much, it was so well done. I just can’t stand the implication that everything that happened was Peter’s idea. When he went to talk to Strange and got shot down, he accepted it and was going to leave, then Strange suggested they do the other thing instead. Yes, Peter should not have kept interrupting, but that absolutely was not his idea as Strange kept trying to put the blame on him

Seeing this movie in the cinema was an unforgettable experience. I thought that since End Game I wouldn't see another Marvel movie in the cinema that was this exciting. The vibe was incredible. Also, I grew up with Tobey's Spider-Man, it hit me with nostalgia. It was a dream come true.

The audience that was in the cinema screamed when the old villains came out, the Spider-Mans. Im from Puerto Rico, so when they mentioned Miles Morales with the black Spiderman, the public was also excited by that. When Andrew saved MJ there was also screaming. The truth is that the experience was incredible.

To be clear. Toby and Andrew were in no trailers, no posters, no promotional material. There were rumors, speculation after seeing Green Goblin and Octopus, but, that's it. Both actors turned down all questions and admitted nothing. Which was awesome. Made the surprise better. Glad you enjoyed it so much!! My only disappointment is that Michael Mando's Scorpion which was set up in the end credits of Homecoming didn't even make an appearence. And that Sandman for some reason turned? Like Flint was a good guy.. Everything was resolved. But regardless was cool seeing them all

Yeah, that's awesome! I did end up watching the trailers after watching the movie, just to see for myself how it was set up. I like how I kind of had the opposite experience as the rest of you going in.

@@kaiiellemmhmm. Seeing Toby again after nearly 20 years away from the role was amazing. For sure made this one of the best super hero movies ever.

Poignant. The theater experience was awesome. I told my son it is the quintessential SpiderMan movie. He agreed. (In fairness, though, Spider Man has always been my favorite comic book character, ever since I was a kid.) Now, in fairness, because of its place in the MCU, this movie was what it was. But, it was also an excellent reset. Now, if they make another Spider Man movie, it can be totally different. Will it be? I don't know. I do think they kind of ran out of ideas. They may need another 20 years before they're able to have something new to say. But, for my part, I really enjoyed it. (Even the fan servicy stuff. I'm a fan, and I don't mind if they cater to me. Nope. Not one bit.) I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. Even though I've been there and done that, the whole point of the reactionverse is for those of us who have been there, and done that to be able to vicariously be there and do it again for the first time with you. It's a strange nostalgia, left over from a few years ago where we were all struggling to find connection with humanity again, after having been somewhat violently separated from everyone and everything. So... I appreciate yours (and the other reactors') willingness to let us participate. Thank you, Kaiielle. And, now... I hope you have a wonderful rest of the spring. And, enjoy the summer up there! I'll look forward to whatever you watch next.

I always get chills when I hear Ned say that he'll never turn into a monster and try to kill Peter, because in the comics, Ned Leeds becomes the Hobgoblin, one of Spider-Man's nemeses. Also, Alfred Molina is the actor that plays Otto Octavius, and he is quite well known among gamers as the voice actor for Imperial Battlemage Abnur Tharn in the Elder Scrolls Online, which he had done for 7 years and was a fan favorite.

I love the fact that they united three different Spider-Man actors from different universes, along with their respective villains. My two favorites being Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin. Willem Dafoe has a way of scaring the crap out of you with the way he can flip the personalities of the character so masterfully. One minute, he's talking kindly as Norman, then the Goblin switch goes off and he's terrifying.
@kaiielle5 ай бұрын
Yes, he's so talented at doing that. If he hasn't already done it (outside of Norm/Goblin of course), I would love to see a whole movie of him as a main character that has multiple personalities/identities.

I thought that since Peter is a Star Wars fan 48:48, it would be funny if they had a quick scene where Peter makes some kind of comment to Nick Fury about Mace Windu.

They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits of NWH But you know who else deserves a big thank you? LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys
