To be fair, most people hate him in return. Between all the people he let get erased for 5 years, Christine whom he emotionally and mentally neglected for YEARS until he gained magic and thought that was just gonna fix everything in his life, the entire sorcerer society which he turned on its heels in many universes because he has this unhealthy need to be at the head of everything, and Wanda Maximoff whom he belittled at every turn and negated her pain and trauma over losing her family because of HIS horrid choices. I'd say he honestly deserves the sass.

Yeah, I get the feeling he's being extra-rebellious towards Wong because he resents getting edged out of becoming Sorcerer Supreme while he was busy being dead and saving half the life in the Universe. MJ isn't wrong. Strange is supposed to be the Master of the Mystic Arts. Not Spiderman. Would your heart surgeon be taking frantic corrections from you while he's operating on you??? Strange should have sat the kid down and discussed this properly, before starting incantations. He's supposed to be a doctor, he should know all about ensuring the patient is fully informed.

Except Peter came to him begging for help, and he was mid casting the spell. Strange is guilty of not explaining the spell earlier completely. And Peter got greedy has Strange said he shouldn’t alter the spell when in progress. Plus Peter was self-righteous as hell about the villains. Sure it was virtuous to cure them BUT even though he prove Strange wrong somewhat who knows what other universal anomalies Peter’s actions caused or will cause. He wanted everything without ever losing anything. Sure that is most people. But he used his age as excuse to do what he did. Like he is suppose to be a genius and didn’t think he could appeal the rejection? It would even likely be on the letter too. But also you can’t say oh I’m a kid I didn’t know and oh I’m a kid so I’m not mature enough yet to be help responsible. Like he risked the universe or multiverse just to do something good. Sometimes no matter how good something is, it’s not YOUR place to risk everything it especially when you caused the problem.

@@90CJk the only 'in his defense' I can think of I'd that Peter was all set to round up and send everyone back like Strange told him to, but May kinda guilt trips him into helping them instead,(which the Goblin calls them out on later) i get where she was coming from but it really wasn't her place either.

@@90CJk Could've just let Strange finish the spell as intended and then reveal his secret identity to MJ, Aunt May and Ned after the fact. It was really just that easy. There was no reason to weave them into the spell as an exception. Let Strange do the spell as he originally intended and once everyone forgot that Peter is Spider-Man, he can reveal his identity to whomever he trusts.

Well I'd say MJ isn't wrong cause it IS his spell that got messed up and if he's able to detect and capture the villains, which is what he was doing before Peter even knew what was happening, why doesn't he just do it himself? It's not like he NEEDS specifically Peter's help. Considering that he blames Peter from this, you'd think he'd actually want him to stay out of it in fact. Turn on the news, teleport any villains causing havoc to the cells, hit the button, and let all the villains go to die, problem solved. Movie over. Aunt May never dies and Peter never has to erase himself from existence.

Good, Strange deserves attitude after screwing up the spell. He was waaay too eager to cast that spell and not explain anything to Peter to begin with. And Strange even if he complained about the dangers of altering it, just kept editing the spell on Peters requests. I see a lot of people blame Peter, but its still Strange that screwed up. He is surpose to be the master of magic, not Peter. Peter doesn't know how any of this works, he is just a young confused kid whos life just turned into hell since the rest of the world found out who he is. And Strange right away jumps to casting a very dangerus spell with no warnings beforehand. Like how about sitting down and talking over whats gonna happen? NOPE just go directly to a reality altering spell with no warnings or making sure that Peter really wanted everyone to forget.

I'm very happy about this scene as well as across the spiderverse making sure Strange is not blameless in what happened here. He failed to communicate how the spell worked properly AND never asked if Peter had called the school before resorting to the spell. Yes Peter has his share of the blame but Strange was the adult in the room and needed to be called out. He also refuses to listen to Peter and severely understimates what he can do. Which results in Peter having no hero back up later in the apartment fight, if he had comprimised and allowed Peter to cure all of them on the condition they send them back instantly after it would've gone much better. To be clear I'm not upset about how this happened just pointing out both Peter AND Strange had flaws they needed to grow past but that's a good thing and they both do.

Adults should be questioned just as much as teenagers perhaps even more so, because unlike a teenager they should know right from wrong and understand consequences to mistakes. In this case while Peter is not blammeless, neither is Doctor Strange he failed to explain the spell properly to Peter, did'nt ask if he called the school first and was unwilling to listen to Peter's thoughts on the situation and assumed he knew best how to handle things. Resulting in Peter having no back up when he's trying to cure the villians, which he absolutely knew about the fabricator already and it's why he was so confident he could help them. The one thing he did'nt account for was Green Goblin.

Not so long ago, it was part of the notion called 'etiquette'. 'Please' and 'thank you' is part of the purpose of being polite. When you ask for and recieve something, you generally use 'please' and 'thank you' respectively. Not many people use it anymore is because they grew up with this ideal that they deserve something from the get-go, and are completely rude and obnoxious as a result.
