The explanation for Ned using magic is his grandmother told him, "Magic ran in the family." Ned mentioned that to Doctor Strange at the beggining of the movie. He said that he "felt a tingling in his fingers."
@keleynal4424
@keleynal4424 2 жыл бұрын
It was still random and pretty forced. They made a big deal about how difficult it was for Dr Strange to cast a portal, and Ned does it basically on accident. It’s the one thing they did that don’t feel great to me.
@romanfilmgod
@romanfilmgod 2 жыл бұрын
@@keleynal4424 Dude..🙄 Dr. Strange hands were injured. Between using magic to stabilize his trembling hands and training. That could have easily affected even simple spells in the begining. Also Ned's grandmother stated that she thought magic ran in their family. Not to mention your point is silly from the fact that SNWH also had different writers and directors or are you so caught up in the fictional world of the MCU you can't even recognize that? If the same exact creative did both films you would have a point. But since they didn't try to grow up and enjoy the film. None of it is real anyway. Don't be so extra.
@keleynal4424
@keleynal4424 2 жыл бұрын
@@romanfilmgod it’s pretty clear from Dr Strange movie that his problem wasn’t the trembling hands- that’s why the Ancient one trots out the guy missing his hand entirely- it’s psychological. Maybe Ned is just the right kind of crazy to be able to pick up a sling ring and do the thing after seeing it a couple times and getting zero instruction. Also, magic runs in the family? It’s genetic now? Probably it’s like most things where some are just naturally bent toward certain skills. I think it would had felt better if Ned had showed any interest at all in magic before. Or if there had been any allusion to it at all in previous movies. But no, they needed someone to do the thing, so yeah have Ned do it, why not? I think you think I am saltier than I am. I adore this movie and will be watching it over and over for the rest of my life. Having a single not perfect thing about it doesn’t make it bad.

I'm so glad I did a rewatch of all Spider-Man movies before I went to the theater, I really appreciate his Spider-Man more now. Although I still don't like his Peter very much. @@oneman5753 I can only tell you what I think it means, really. Andrew’s Peter Parker was raised alone. His parents left him when he was young, his uncle died when he was a teen and he never had any brothers or sisters. There were no Avengers or other superheroes for him to work with. He had to face becoming Spiderman alone. In the first Amazing Spiderman, he didn’t really have a Harry Osborne or anything. Only Gwen. So he went out and faced all of that alone. In this movie, he found two other men who could relate to his powers, his life conflicts and his loss. He’d found true brothers.

I think people are forgetting the overall dilemma of the movie. It was Peter Trying to be both Parker and Spiderman. Strange said it to him after the spell was botched. And Norman made a speech about the same thing to him. In the end, after encountering villains who knew Peter was Spiderman, and losing May made him see the dangers of people who knew his identity. That's why the spell in the end was for everyone to ' forget Peter Parker '. He ultimately chose Spiderman as his 'great responsibility' and put his life as Peter Parker on the back burner to save the people he cared for

The first indication of Tom Holland’s Spider-Sense was actually in Civil War. When he’s fighting against Sam and Bucky, he swings onto a support beam when fighting Sam, then Bucky throws some debris at him from behind. Peter senses it, says, “Oh God.” and dodges. Then he quips back with, “Hey buddy, I think you lost this!” I genuinely don’t understand how people STILL overlook this.

I loved andrew in this movie so much, makes me wish his Spider-Man era had produced better quality films. Tobey finishing the sentence with Tom was also heart warming. The Electro looking different is sort of explained by him, but not in detail, he just says the energy on that universe is different, so it is likely that the energy he had disperses when he appears there because that type of energy doesn't exist in the MCU universe. The electricity he absorbs from the power lines is yellow, and when Spidey takes that source away Electro looses what he had taken shooting it out. The one that makes no sense is Venom... he doesn't know Spiderman at all. And if the explanation is the hive mind thing he mentions in Venom 2, that still makes no sense, he doesn't seem to know about him or anything else from this universe. I also have no clue why that piece of him got left behind, how? That seemed like Sony wanting to have their cake and eat it too. I loved the movie though, can't wait to watch it again!

So I wonder if the villains and stuff remember if they were in the other universe? I don't remember if that was explained in the movie, but I can imagine both Norman and Otto being interested in a multiverse. Doubt we'll see them again in any big way (or at all), but I hope they're all living better lives. Like, I was around 4 years old when the first Tobey movie came out. I'm really glad they didn't go down the over used trope of having multiple versions of a character bickering all the time, instead they acted like brothers because they all understood each other. The scene where they figure out they all have to coordinate better and all swing down and land on the Statue of Liberty's head in superhero poses was just awesome. Andrew Garfield might be the big winner from this movie, finally getting the recognition that he deserved that he was a very good Spiderman in his own right.

Peter having the memory of him as Spider-Man wiped from everyone in the universe makes sense from a Watsonian perspective in order to keep what's left of his friends safe from harm. It's also incredibly pragmatic from a Doylist perspective, as having the memory of Peter wiped from everyone's minds in the MCU makes it a hell of a lot easier for future films/TV shows to ignore having to mention Peter in any future MCU projects so as to avoid contractual issues with Sony going forward.

One thing that I haven’t seen anyone talk about is that when Dr Strange finally casts the spell at the end, Peter tells him “make EVERYONE forget”, and we have to keep in mind that the people that are coming into the universe are originally from another universe, so keeping them from coming in means erasing their memory that Peter is Spider-Man. This seems to imply that Strange wipes that memory from EVERYONE in the entire MULTIVERSE. I don’t know if I’m reading too far into that, but this is how I interpreted it, and if it’s true then this confirms that Dr. Strange is on a MUCH higher power level than we previously thought.

I thought this too at first but that would mean Peter 1 would’ve destroyed Peter 2s relationship with mj at that moment and due to the fact that they didn’t even have a conversation about doing so I don’t think he’d do that. I think his spell only is working in the universe level but since it replaces the botched spell, the multiverse window isn’t open for them to come through anymore, even if they still know who Peter is.

That’d be messed up if both Andrew and Tobey go back and realize no one remembers them. Even sadder if Tobey has a family that doesn’t remember him.

I think electro says something like " I got my body back, the energy is different here" as one of his first lines. Real quick explanation. Pretty missable

I took it as he can literally convert himself into pure energy which could change his appearance or his atoms and cellular makeup wasn’t too happy being in a new universe.

He “got his body back” cuz he wasn’t the same Electro from the earlier movies. THAT Electro didn’t know PP was SM. Edit: This Electro was a variant.

The explanation of electro looking different was given in wandavision. Everyone that got into Wanda's hex transformed into something different, something that fits the current reality that she created. Same thing for electro

one thing i loved that no one seems to talk about(rob briefly touched on) is the whole brotherly moment they had just before the final battle and how natural it felt.
