3 tricks I found Evan!!... 1. With practice of timing and proper speed you can throw two webs out for the zip when pressing x. 2. Rapidly tap right trigger (with height already) and he’ll swing alternating hands left to right just like the old classic games when webs didn’t stick to buildings. 3. Swinging with perfect placement to a top of a building Spidey will do an automatic whip forward over the top ledge (Amazing Animation just did a vid on this it’s awesome to pull off) INSOMNIAC IS THE GREATEST!! So many intricate little things to discover through what seems like simple controls :)

I just love mixing the swinging, wall running, air tricks and sometimes recovery roll. I love to do a wall run, jump out of it, and then perform a flying helix pushing the analog stick towards the wall. It looks so cool. I've also made it a habit to do as many spider rolls as I can from a perch launch and then web swing last second :p

One of the combinations i love to do is to wallrun, jump out, air trick, webzip to the diagonally adjacent building, wallrun again, jump and air trick out. You can pratically traverse the city without web-swinging :)

Now this isn't really thought of when you're swinging but incorporating some combat moves into it actually works well. You can air dodge to zip yourself to a wall run. Press Square and Circle to do the thing where you yank yourself down while you're in the air, and then swing before hitting the ground

If you all realize it that was the type of swinging done in the E3 2017 demo which made the swinging really slow and lots of people complained that it was slow and the animation was the same. Ik this vid is old but something I’ve found helpful when swinging is to turn your sensitivity all the way up so you can do sharp turns. It takes a little bit of practice to get used to but when you get used to it, it’s really helpful.

Whenever I go fast to the point of running into a building, it is possible to use the ⭕ button and pushing left or right on the Left Stick to quickly move in that direction. This can lead to some nice looking swinging. It is only possible once you are about to hit the edge of a building. This can save your momentum from slowing down.

Here is another tip, if you wanna do some one hand swinging which has great speed and steer-ability. While in midair quickly tap R2 (it’s gonna look like you’re faking a web shot) and let go then immediately hold R2 and keep on letting go of R2 in the same level in the pendulum. You can keep swinging with one hand non stop.

Here's a momentum tip: when you web zip (L2 + R2/Lt + Rt) aim for the farthest point you can and he will smoothly transition. My tips would be to use the Circle button for micro adjustments, use walls to redirect yourself not just travel forward, and when using tricks, try matching the animations smoothly (I.E when Spider-Man ends with a back flip of a swing, do a Moonsault)

I personally wall run up buildings a lot, I dunno why tho... I enjoy doing it and it slows things down so I can plan my next swing. At first I kept pressing x to jump off while walking or sprinting and I couldn't dive off like in Spider-Man 2 and I was disappointed. Then I discovered that you just sprint off! So its all good.

I think the web zip is anti climactic AF since it stops your momentum before zipping you forward. Doesn't look stylish at all in my eyes except when it's the double web zip. So I barely use it.
