The clips is not what the focus should be, but rather the edits :). What you described is what every other youtuber does. Just cuts in between no actual editing. From my experience

Sure, it was a zoom out on the video as doc ocks face got closer. To stay within the frame of his glasses, I just did frame by frame cutting, specifically his glass only....then I faded it out and shot backed up to see him on the tower :)

yeah I tried not to over edit because I didn't know what some people would think. But for the most part I tried to include as much gameplay as I could, and in doing tried to make it transition into the movie really smooth. Then with the comic animations, I tried to give it a spider verse feel. All while not trying to deviate from the movie itself too much, otherwise people would not have liked it.
