"Nope. You don't know me at all." I just love the double entendre of that statement. Both meanings of that sentence speaks volumes of who Peter Parker/Spiderman is. First, he's claiming she doesn't know of him. It speaks volumes of his anonymity and humility. Not many people in the city know Peter Parker, and for the sake of his loved ones who need him to keep a low profile, he likes to keep it that way. Second, he's basically telling Vanna to her face (without her even knowing) that she doesn't know the kind of person he is. She fancies him a glory hound who's madly in love with her and will continually put her in danger to get her attention, but that's nothing like the Spiderman we know. Either way, it's a clever quote.

I appreciate that this story A.) doesn’t hold back from how self centered and shitty these types of people can be. B.) still humanizes her, trying to explain why she’s like this and c.) provides a solution to the hole she’s dug for herself. She desperately wants to feel special and important so she created this whole narrative about someone being out to get her when they were really just living their life. You can be special and important to others by finding connection with others, friends, family, your community at large if you stop trying to imagine how others feel and just let them in and be kind to them in return. You’ll never be as special as a person who’s being somehow stalked by a super hero but you can be special to somebody

Not the first time someone has complained about a hero trying to ruin their life when in reality it's just a coincidence or they're trying to keep them out of danger and it's not the first time someone did it to Spider-Man either. Early in his career there was a woman that Spider-Man went to high school with who became a hero despite having no powers or training or gear and kept on messing up with Spider-Man always having to rescue her until one day when he left her alone because she was always complaining about him saving her. On that day she died in an explosion because she got in over her head (and nobody really cared) Spider-Man initially feels guilty for not saving her but Human Torch points out that her death was her own fault for trying to fight crime without putting any thought into what she was doing. I know it doesn't fit with the restraining order story but it's a reminder that just because you try to help people it doesn't mean they're always going to be grateful.

Am I the only one that thinks what MJ did was kinda evil? She obviously had problems and put them on someone who didnt deserve it. But she probably lived a quite sad life afterwards. To have no one? That's hell. But maybe she had some sort of peace, a bit of serenity in solitude. And then for MJ to come out and convince her that her whole life was meaningless, for what, because she was troubled? MJ had no reason to do that other than pure spite and hatred. She made her regret her whole existence. That's truly cruel.

Jeez, that's a hell of a grudge to hold onto with Spiderman's widow. A woman puts a quasi restraining order on your husband 20 gears ago, so you monitor her to learn her schedule just so you can show up and say, "Hey, my husband was Spiderman, he's dead, also you're a failure in life, go fuck yourself," and then just leave.
