Spider-Man seems kid friendly because he jokes around, even at the face of inevitable death, but he only does that because he frequently deals with some of the darkest storylines in the Marvel universe.

Spiderman's most epic fight. Not that he didn't have other great fights but you really felt that he was truly being hunted and could not escape and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't win even if he damaged his opponent in every attack.

M J Honestly, I don't think that Thor's chances would be too much higher. Morlun nearly killed Genis-Vell (someone around Thor's level, of not much more powerful) without even trying. Spider-Man has only been able to hang with Morlun because of his surprising durability, his amazing speed, his super genius-level intellect, and his immensely strong willpower. Thor would have been more of a distraction and would have caused more collateral damage. Seriously, Spider-Man has repeatedly and consistently stated that no one has ever hit him as hard as Morlun has, and that includes heavy hitters like Juggernaut (Peter even explicitly said that Morlun hits harder than Thor and Hulk).

sostre1 It definitely wasn't a hyperbole. He explicitly said that Morlun hits harder than Thor and Hulk twice on different occasions. And when they fought once again in Spider Geddon, Peter comments that he forgot that Morlun hits so hard, which is something that he never said for any of the heavy hitters that he fights and takes hits from. It's clearly implied that Morlun is in fact stronger than them. There's a reason why Morlun is presented as Spider-Man's biggest threat. More so than Carnage and even Juggernaut, both of whom Peter has fought on multiple occasions. I don't see how Genis Vell's powers make it easier for Morlun to take him down. Morlun physically overpowered and nearly killed him without breaking a sweat, and Genis is more powerful than Thor and Hulk if I'm not mistaken. We also shouldn't forget how Morlun easily rips apart Adamantium and was completely unaffected by Wakanda hitting him with their entire arsenal of advanced nuclear weapons. That's definitely a heavy hitter feat.

Everyone wondering where were the Avengers during this... you gotta remember, it takes US a while to read what's going on. But in the reality of the story, this happened to Spider-Man in a matter of minutes. It's not some long, dragged out fight. Morlun beat his ass dead in literal minutes. MINUTES. And that was Spider-Man "faring better than the others". We see it as long and dragged out, because storytelling allows for focused moments where we can see what's happening inside the characters head, or it'll focus on a single detail for a frame, or something like that. It spread out the timeline, so things look like they are taking longer than they really are. The Avengers were still having breakfast. That's where they were.

Ben Le At 2:02, he briefly makes a reference to his affliction. He was suffering from a mystical disease at the time that even Doctor Strange couldn't determine the nature of or fix. The sickness was leading up to this entire story and was implied to have been caused by the deity The Other. The sickness completely vanished after Peter was revived with new powers.

@@Awesomemt2018 What's worse is we actually SEE him do that. In the spidey 2099 spider verse comics morlun goes to eat an alternate universe Spidey 2099 inside avengers tower. Wolverine stabs him through the stomach but morlun LAUGHS it off and punches Logan into cap America, knocking them both out. He then eats captain mar-vel and then kills 2099. He dips out after that(mans was a BLUR when moving) and cap says he's kinda thankful morlun was only there for spidey, even tho he's sad 2099 Is dead. In another comic way earlier, morlun gets brought to Wakandan to kill shuri, and shuri activates all Wakandan defenses. Morlun tears through it all, even ripping apart vibranium nets and Wakandan soldiers sent to fight him. Shuri gets rid of him with a spell but morlun went on a rampage to get to her. In the spider geddon(2019) comics, morlun fights Peter in a zoo and when Peter dips for a sec to recover, swatt pulls up on morlun, only for him to start punching bodies apart casually. Man's is no joke.

Pete is never able to beat Morlun in a straight up fistfight. He beat twice straight up from what I remember. Once by injecting himself with Radiation and second time using the environment and loading him up with a enough animal tranqs kill a large elephant.

@@assassinsknight Even with the Other Boost that he got after the fight he only MAYBE could have survived and that's a big maybe. The fact is that Morlun is pretty much Spider-Man's Doomsday. The only way he's ever beaten him is either with lots of outside help, a lot of nerfs on Morlun's part or much more strength and experience than he had at this point. While I do think The Other would've made it a more even fight, I think he'd need both that and Venom working in harmony to actually reliably beat Morlun in a straight fight. Still good luck on getting such a perfect situation to happen again though. As he was here he had like a 20% chance of winning, if we're generous. Other brings it up to like 50ish Other and Venom probably gives him like a good 60-70%. Not great but better odds than this fight where Peter was screwed the entire time and he fucking knew it.

This was absolute art. The breakdown of Peter's character, and the absolute invincible wall that is Morlun. Peter is literally facing death head-on. And it wears the face of everything he stands against. The only mistake he did, was facing him alone. Even if his fighting spirit was more than that of only one man.

That’s basically what he is. He’s as strong as Thor and his dad can kill a cosmic spiderman. He knows were aunt may lives, peters family and friends and even friends he hasn’t met yet. He’s a multiverse walker so if he needs to know things about his target he can do some investigating across the multiverse and see common weaknesses and locations. He can suck the soul of anyone, but generally prefers totems (animal people) Even if he is killed he has back up bodies in his home world to transfer himself to. His whole family is just as strong.

The ps4 spidey game wouldve been GREAT for it. He could be a secret final boss, after u complete EVERYTHING, u have to go to the docks and swing around for a bit, he will appear and fight u, and u have 2 options, stay at the docks or take the fight to the city, basically, u can fight him wherever u want. He would be extremely fast and hit HARD, the knockback and combos he would have would be crazy. He can counter thrown objects and instead of having a "gimmick" where most bosses need to be webbed up or have objects thrown at them to be stunned, morlun has NONE of that. U have to be LUCKY with your strikes. I'd say have it be a duration battle, cuz Ps4 spidey isn't strong enough to beat him alone. U could either damage him enough or just hold him off long enough for Superior spidey to come save you.

Meta Man I know. But spideys a prime example. His punches are stronger than his lifting strength so either way it supports my claim. He has smaller fists and can move much quicker, meaning he can exert a lot more PSI compared to other heroes. And besides my main point is Spider-Man should have dealt more damage because of that.

No one does. Not even Sony or Marvel did and it's a shame because both of them could have done some Spider-man animations or any other adaptations at a more graphic level before Disney was involved. Even the video games shy away from the graphic violence that's quite significant in Spider-man comics such as the Symbiote stories. It was so insulting to see no blood or gore in the Venom movie because it diminished the gruesome brutality of the Symbiote's nature and we don't actually see Venom explicitly eat or tear up human flesh. They had the balls to do it with dc heroes like Superman in a recent 2018 animation film and many Spider-man stories tend to be darker then Supes.

People often say Venom or Carnage is Spider-Man's deadliest foe but in all actuality , IT IS MORLUN. For the simple fact that Morlun only grows stronger and feeds on Spider-Man's energy the more he tries to fight him. Then there is the fact that Morlun is already beyond physically stronger than Spider-Man. During their first fight , he literally ate Peter's eye and killed him If I'm not mistaken. Peter had to literally trick him into draining a bunch of radiation just to stop him the first time. He barely succeeded. Morlun should be considered Spider-Man's most deadliest foe.
