@@leonscottkennedy8776 Honestly, I think the core game mechanics should be implemented and improved with new tech instead of rehashing. Besides the complaints that I think everyone can share about the writing for this game, imagine if the new Spider-Man games allowed you to kick 8 cars down the street, wouldn't that be awesome? Let the player have the amount of power a superhero really has, it always gets crunched down to save money on dev time. If Spider-Man went ahead and swung full force into a car, in his supposed prime he would be able to punt that bitch. How far would depend on physics or how he hits it, that's something that could be implemented into games right now if the time was taken to do it. Even for small scripted things, imagine being hit so hard you fly into a coffee shop and the whole place is destroyed? Or you got thwacked into a building so hard bricks made way for your body? This happens often enough in Web of Shadows to make you feel REALLY powerful, most of them are just scripted. This is power to the player, in this game you can actively choose to try and protect innocents, keeping your destructive brawls outside of harms reach, especially in the early stages of the game. You can choose the morally responsible option of not using the black suit, creating greater challenge but ultimately most Spider-Man choice. They even took a risk by making the symbiotes stats better for every fighting style... by quite a bit too. And yet it fits right in to the games mechanics, you may feel guilty for throwing taxis full of people at a mech to take it down. That's what makes a superhero a superhero, they don't do that, and you can choose not to harm innocents actively, or try your best to keep citizens out of harms way. This change would make even Spider-Man PS4 feel like a masterpiece, the city would actually be alive at ground level. I liked the game a lot actually, overall the game is better than everything that came before it, especially writing wise, movies don't copy and paste well onto games. I was always a little disappointed that there was so many constraints, some little, some largely a pain in the dick; here's all of them because I decided to write it lmao the swinging feels good, but I can't neccesarily mess up or change directions very quickly, I can't hold onto my web either which sucks farts, I can't swing kick the shit out of someone, I can't really chain together these sicknasty combos and obliterate bad guys. All the NPCs are there to look pretty too, and so are the cars, and so are the buildings, most of the enemies I meet on street level are thugs that I should be able to handle in many more ways then lobbing my fist at them, way too much relying on gadgets that could work all things considered, but it cut the fluidity out of Spider-Man's movement. Sadly, the most I can do for the citizens of New York is make jazz hands at them as they take photos of me. Brilliant Sorry for this I like spiderman a lot ok bye bye

The story is really great being honest, but it could’ve been, “told” better and yes, it did have a lot of cut content. The final product is not even like a fraction of what the game was originally gonna be, and yet it’s still considered by many the best Spider-Man game. Imagine if it was actually 100% of what it was originally gonna be. Thing would’ve been insane.

You have to hit the timing accurately by pressing the strike button when the spider's legs make contact with the enemy. Also, if the game is running at a high frame rate, timing web strike requires much more precision due to the reduced window of opportunity.
