Spider-Man Web Shooter Effect | Adobe After Effects and Element 3D

This is an extension from my previous video. The tutorial will be a short demonstration on how you can transfer some techniques from my last Spider-Man web effect tutorial over to a web shooter, with dynamic reactions.

This effect is inspired by the upcoming release of Spider-Man Homecoming. Needless to say, I am quite excited to see Tom Holland's iteration of the character! I have 1 more tutorial planned for a web sling effect which will cover a more advanced technique for simulation inside of 3ds Max.

Cedric Purcell it might not be the BEST 3D software out there but it most certainly is my favorite! I highly recommend it :)

Aristos Yes! It's combining multiple layers of pre-compositions with multiple iterations of the puppet tool. A little bit of expressions but for the most part it's super simple. I expect the tutorial to be a short one :)

VeelaThwip thanks! I made it from a combo of different sounds. If I remember correctly it’s a wet paper towel squish, mixed with a small wood dowel swinging and a few other small things

it was pretty nice, i like it , but the tracking isnt really that good ! , was this 3D tracked or 2d tracked ?

Mega Soft 2D tracked in mocha. Just out of curiosity, where are you seeing issues? I think the track looks pretty good

Mega Soft I think if I were to do this again I would hold something rigid and thin for reference like a pencil, so that I could accurately portray the angle from which the web is coming from my hand. I think rather than a tracking error, you might be seeing it slide behind my thumb unrealistically haha
