WOW! Now THAT is an incredible machine! The job it's doing on that old multi coated paint is impressive! I wish them success!

If I would have designed this machine, I would have used 4 large rare earth magnets mounted on each corner. This would eliminate the need for ropes, although I would still use a safety line in case it fell off. This would allow you to clean at any angle and reduce your setup and dismantle times.

You also get this on the marked if you like, the design now is combo whit vacuum and magnetic.

It’s like watching paint peal. Only much more fun. It is great to see it clean off an old boat so thoroughly and with no mess vs the typical Sand blasting with paint chips everywhere.

1:40 - useful for revealing cracks in the plate-work that may otherwise go undetected.

But does it leave the surface damp/moist for rust to rapidly set in ?????
@Sunnsandno6 жыл бұрын
Its dry minute later, ready for paint, if weather is good and it keeps dry it dosent rust. If the RH% is high then it will rust of course.

interesting but what keeps it tight against the hull

Vacuum keeps it to the surface, also all waste goes in return too the vacuum.

If that is a water jet .how come everything is bone dry? The surface is dry and I don't see a single drop of water dripping
@Sunnsandno6 жыл бұрын
The surface is dry because all water returns to vacuum unit. And after friction from the high pressure the steel temperature is btw. 30-40 degrees celsius. The steel is also free from salts. If weater is good is ready for painting :)

How much is it? :)

You would more effeceintly use this machine if it ran laterally rather thn horizonally because you are wasting a 1/5 of you time starting and stopping at the end of each vertical pass.
@Sunnsandno6 жыл бұрын
Yea, we also do this - But the vacuum outlet then gets little higher inside the disc. And results in waste easely gets stuck.

We have changed some of the gears/motors on ours, to extend lifetime on the air motors use oil. Or you may have problem whit the ovale bearings inside. We may have a used complete (ex. Vacuum) setup spiderjet for sale😊

that ship looks rusted to hell. is it even worth blasting/repainting. it looks completely rusted through and pitted out up top.
