This, to me, is one of the most inspiring opening credit sequence to any superhero movie. Alex Ross's work backed by Elfman's score... you knew you were in for something special (and IMO the movie delivered)! Close 2nd would be the opening credits to the 1978 Superman movie.

@@captainjakemerica4579 I feel that 2 of the films you mentioned, simply aren't as good as the other ones, namely The Avengers, and Civil War, they are far worse. Instead you should give their place to X-men 2/ First Class/ Days of Future Past. Or Kick-Ass. In the case of The Avengers, it is ruined by bad jokes, that ruin the stakes, it has no gravity, because unlike the other ones, nothing has consequences, it ends on everything going back to the status quo. So badly, you could remove the movie from continuity, and the characters would still had gone the same places they went in their sequels. Also is a pretty bad, Hulk sequel. Civil War is nothing compared to the X-Men's Mutant Registration act or the Mutant Cure.

I never get sick of this. It's a masterpiece. Between the music and the visuals, this is probably one of the greatest intros in movie history, not just superhero ones. To me, it rivals the intro to Pulp Fiction.

This intro is so incredibly fantastic. The artwork, and visuals, and amazing music mixed together with it, makes it one of the greatest movie opening credits sequences of all time.
