The portals scene and worthy Captain America in Avengers Endgame comes closer to this actually, but the Avengers franchise as a whole lacks of a specific theme such as Raimi's Spider-Man. I was born in 2000, this film came out a year later. I saw this movie when I was five, and let me tell you, THIS was the movie that got me into film, that made me feel important. Whenever I would feel down, I would pop in this movie to let my worries go away. This one, Spiderman 2, and even 3 WERE my childhood. I've never liked TASM movies at all because they never came close to the perfect blend of dark and light tones the original films have. I always wanted Spiderman 4, but I know I won't get it. Here's to hoping that Marvel continues their success with Homecoming, because I love Tom Holland as Spiderman just as much as Tobey Maguire. Thank you Sam Raimi for shaping my childhood, and changing my life.

For me personally this is my favourite Marvel movie of all time. It has everything you would want a great hero, villain and a relationship you want to see work out by the end. If ever I need to be cheered up this film is usually what I turned to, just a simple story of a hero fighting for good. I also feel that unlike the MCU they were not afraid to have emotional moments without jokes constantly.
